Item #: SCP-001
Object Class: Aegis1
Special Containment Procedures: Foundation agents are to operate undercover in all space-related agencies, both government and private, to hide the existence of SCP-001. No aggressive action is to be taken in regards to SCP-001. Any action by GoIs in regards to SCP-001 are to be sabotaged and stopped by any means necessary.
Attempts to contact SCP-001 are to continue for the foreseeable future. In the event of an attempt at communication by SCP-001-Alpha or SCP-001-Beta, it is to be responded to immediately by the Administrator. If the Administrator is incapacitated, an available member of the O5 Council is to respond.
In the event of a sighting of SCP-001-Omega, contacting and coordinating with SCP-001 is to become top priority. Any assistance that can be provided to SCP-001 in repelling or neutralizing SCP-001-Omega is to be immediately deployed. Should these efforts fail, all Foundation space defenses and ICBMs are to be activated and used against SCP-001-Omega. Failure to stop SCP-001-Omega will result in a ΆK-Class2 End of Universal Life Scenario.
Description: SCP-001 is a group of spacecraft residing in various regions of the Sol System. These craft vary greatly in shape, size, and capability, but all seem to follow a consistent design. After incident 001-2399, these craft were all designated as warships. All craft seem to be able to communicate across immense distances instantaneously, bypassing normal communication delay. The craft also possess the ability to communicate via radio, television, telephone, internet, and satellite.
An effective classification system has been developed regarding SCP-001, similar to contemporary naval hull code classifications. A list of these classifications, as well as an estimated number of the specified craft in service, is provided below.
- DN - Dreadnought - 1
- BB - Battleship - 3
- CC - Battlecruiser - 9
- CA - Heavy Cruiser - 27
- CL - Light Cruiser81
- DD - Destroyer - 243
- FF - Frigate - 729
- KK - Corvette - 2187
Additionally, all warships greater than or equal to the size of frigate have been observed with hanger bays for housing smaller craft not considered to be proper warships. It is assumed that these craft function as fighters, bombers, transports, and support craft.
Though no live personnel have been observed operating any craft (seeing as the craft are generally too far away to observe effectively), it is known that at least two live entities command SCP-001. These entities are the Grand Admiral, designated SCP-001-Alpha, and the second-in-command, the Fleet Admiral, designated SCP-001-Beta.
Though patrol and neutralization of threats seems to be of large importance to SCP-001, their main focus is protecting Earth from SCP-001-Omega. Little is known about SCP-001-Omega, excluding the fact that its goal is to end all life, both biological and technological. It has been stated by SCP-001-Alpha that SCP-001-Omega has succeeded in destroying almost all life in the universe, and that Earth is its last target.

Addendum SCP-001-D: Discovery
SCP-001 was discovered on July 21, 1947 by Foundation astronomer Dr. Sarah M. Corduroy. While monitoring SCP-179, Dr. Corduroy observed an instance of SCP-001-KK and 3 instances of SCP-001-GG in a patrol pattern around the area at approximately 700 hours. The instances were no longer observable at around 743 hours. At the time, it was not known what these entities were. Dr. Corduroy reported that the instances appeared to be some sort of spacecraft, though their purpose and origin were not clear. Attempts to locate the instances immediately after this incident were unsuccessful.

Hello Administrator. You have no doubt observed the movement of one of our patrols near The Lookout, and have likely determined that these are spacecraft several centuries ahead of your current technology. Rest assured, we have no intention of invading your planet. In fact, our intention is quite the opposite. We are here to protect your species from destruction. We will be in contact with you again soon. For now, be at peace, knowing that we will protect you from the threats that exist among the stars.
