Special Containment Procedures: SCP – 5106 is to be kept inside of a glass 30 by 30 cm container in Site [REDACTED], which is just big enough to fit its square-box structure. It does not require to be watched all the time, as long as no personnel is in contact with SCP- 5106, it will not be agitated.
Description: SCP – 5106 embodies a small jack-in-the-box toy, first created in the 15-century. The way the normal toy would function is a child would turn the handle, with a soft instrumental tone of the children’s song, ‘Pop Goes The Weasel’ plays. The puppet inside would then slowly pop out, making the child operating it jump. SCP – 5106 seems to be a demon stuck inside the doll, feeding off any human or thing that operates it. When left alone, SCP – 5106 is harmless. But when the handles is turned, 8 spider legs pop out of the bottom of the box, a long giraffe-like head strings out of the lid, shrieking a sound similar to that of a dying cat. The way SCP – 5106 eliminates enemies is quite interesting. It is divided into 5 steps.
1. SCP – 5106 waits patiently for a victim to turn its handle.
2. It emerges from the box and jumps to the floor and crawls towards the victim. The speed of SCP -5106 is approximately 60 km/s during this step. It takes advantage of human reflexes and its long neck to reach out and bite the leg of the human that operated it. This causes them to fall to the floor
3. SCP – 5106 prowls onto the human’s forehead and stabs its eyes with its sharp legs. SCP – 5106 pulls the victim’s eyeballs and anything else along with it.
4. SCP – 5106 squeezes through the now empty eye sockets into the body. It then consumes all left organs until it is completely barren.
5. This phase leaves what is known as SCP – 5106 – 01 or the ‘Skin Suit’. SCP – 5106 leaves this part of the body to either hang in a closet or in a clothes drawer.
Tests have been proved with Class – D that have not cooperated and are therefore sacrificed in order to know more about the behaviour of SCP – 5106. It has been proven that SCP - 5106 murders its victims to keep its strength. Part of the reason why it needs to be wound up is because it is preserving its energy for its next victim. It needs the energy to stay alive and kill as efficiently as it does.
UPDATE: As more tests have taken place, it has been proven that SCP - 5106's box slightly cracks as it kills more victims. It is presumed that once the box fully breaks, the demon inside will be fully unleashed. The power of the being inside is yet unknown. Further tests are postponed.
Addendum: SCP – 5106 was found first by two middle aged men exploring an old abandoned building. A camera that was taken with them had recorded all of the happenings during their journey through the building. They approached a closet that had previously made a noise, around halfway through the video that shows the red box sitting in the middle of the closet. The friends imitate ghost noises while laughing at each other and one picks up the box. He starts turning the handle still chuckling. Their two empty, skin bag bodies were later found in that very closet. The box just barely scratched.
Another story was released, a crazy homeless person in the newspapers claiming he was the one that inserted the demon inside of the box. That is as bleak he put it. Of course the media would not believe him so he was only put on the back page as the laughable joke of a man. Once he was taken in by SCP Guards for questioning, this is what he had to say.

Interviewed Man: Look, I don't know who you guys are or what I'm doing here but I'm telling you guys nothing!
Researcher █████: Please cooperate Sir, I'm sure you don't want to know the path this can go down.
Researcher █████: A human sacrifice?
Researcher █████: I see. Do you think that this could have anything to do with the reported missing child that completely disappeared, just a day before those two bodies were discovered in a run down house's closet?
Interviewed Man: I - I did not here that.
Researcher █████: That is because it is classified information.
Interviewed Man: Maybe.
Researcher █████: Maybe it was connected?
Interviewed Man: Maybe. The body was hidden and a toy was taken.Researcher █████: Okay-
Interviewed Man: The ritual was performed with the blood of the boy. Everything was right.
Researcher █████: Slow down, its fine, take your time.
Interviewed Man: THEY TOLD ME NOT TO DO IT BUT HE NEEDED TO LIIIIIIIIIIIVE!
Researcher █████: Sit down!

Closing Statement: When re watching the tape it can be seen that the man had extreme mood swings, drug tests were taken but he didn't prove positive. The interviewed man is being kept for further information.
