Special Containment Procedures:SCP#### is to be contained indefinitely at site-██. It is to be kept in a small 5m X 5m X 5m room. The SCP itself is is to be held in a 10cm thin metal board spanning floor to ceiling, the board has a .3m X .5m rectangular hole which SCP#### is wedged in.
The room is equipped with high durability thermometers which are monitored at all times. The room is also tightly heat insulated. Emergency heaters are on standby at all times and are turned on in the event of SCP####'s random activation. If SCP#### turns on randomly, personnel are to enter the room as quickly as possible to turn it off before leaving also as quickly as possible.
Description: SCP#### is an air conditioner that was discovered in █████ █████. It looks like an ordinary air conditioner, but it is missing a power cable. Despite this SCP#### does in fact turn on. SCP#### can turn on using any device to turn the knob, however it has a tendency to turn on without any known external provocation. If the knob is turned to the setting MAX COOL, SCP#### will start to cool the room which it is in at a rapid pace. When turned on in a room at 20C° after 2 minute the room has cooled to 0C°, after 10 minutes the temperature of the room usually reached -50C°, after 30 minutes the room has usually reached a temperature of -160C°, after having being left for approximately an hour the temperature of the room has reached -273C°. As of the time of discovery this is the only know object capable of causing materials to reach absolute zero. Where the energy taken from the molecules in the room goes is unknown. SCP#### must be kept in a closed room because it "does not like" open air. When not contained in a room that does not have open access to open sky (i.e. open windows, doors, and ventilation or lack of walls/ceiling) SCP#### expels heat levels capable of melting some of the most heat resistant materials know. How SCP#### determines whether or not it is a closed room is still under investigation.
