Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4064 is to be contained in a locked vault requiring regular changes to the required access code. Within the vault should be a small desk with a lamp and a separate air tight container as to hold SCP-4064 when being researched. Two guards need to be outside of the containment area and one on the inside of the containment area when research is in affect.
Description: SCP-4064 is an old leather back book dating back to the 1400's. Despite the age of SCP-4064 it's condition is brand new and any attempts to wreck SCP-4064 have proven to be impossible at this time. Upon examination of the pages of SCP-4064, each page contains some form written language. Approximately 12 extinct languages have been found in SCP-4064 covering hundreds of it's pages. Its believed to contain even more ancient languages however more research is needed. After months of research, the amount of languages inside SCP-4064 is unknown. No further research is to be done.
SCP-4064 creates more pages whenever a page is filled. It is estimated to have approximately 25,786 pages upon arriving at Site-26. When ever a page is filled within SCP-4064, two more pages appear inside of the covers. After an experiment to fill all of the pages lasted 12 hours, approximately 875 pages were added to SCP-4064. Recommend to have research to recreate a blank version of SCP-4064 for record keeping functions. Research as been halted due to indecent 4064-2 which resulted in the creation of SCP-4064-2.
Incident Report: SCP-4064-2
Upon attempting to recreate SCP-4064, a humanoid like smoke figure emerged from the pages of SCP-4064, called SCP-4064-2. SCP-4064-2 wandered around the containment area until it manged to breach containment and killed the researchers and security in charge of recreating SCP-4064. SCP-4064-2 then proceeded to rip the recreation apart and then return to SCP-4064. Any attempts to contain SCP-4064 have proven impossible. However, airtight areas appear to slow down SCP-4064-2 for a couple of minutes.1
