Description
SCP 5212 consists of multiple humanoid entities that were first sighted around 1944 that are thought to originate from the Der Reise complex in Poland. These entities appear to be clothed in Wehrmacht uniforms , leading to speculation that these entities may have once been human , and on their faces wear heavy melted respiratorary equipment. These entities are set apart from regular humans as their skin appears to be scorched as if they have been through extreme heat and appear to lack any mental capacity apart from random outbursts of rage and sudden impulses of hunger.
Discovery
SCP 5212 was first discovered by Soviet soldiers in 1944 on a scouting mission of the lower silesia area near the owl mountains in Poland. Upon arrival at the site , soldiers found a large blast proof door that had been sealed from the outside using a tree branch. After reporting this to their superior officers , a team of more heavily armed troops were sent to investigate.
Upon entering the facility, they found many bodies of German guards mutilated and almost unrecognisable scattering the facility floor. Troops then began to proceed through the facility , acquiring several documents that are currently in foundation possession. A large hall was found at the end of a tunnel which contained many wires and equipment that was unlike anything developed by Nazi scientists at the time , and upon interacting with this equipment, causing a sealed door to open , revealing several Instances of SCP 5212 in a state of neutrality.
The Soviet soldiers began firing upon the instances for little effect and all but three managed to escape the facility alive , one carrying several documents, photographs and information relating to SCP 5212 by the name of Anatoli maykovsky.
The Soviets would eventually return a month later to clear out the facility, but by that time all of the SCP 5212 instances had fled into the dense woodland surrounding the facility. They eventually removed all machinery from the facility and several important documents relating to the creation of SCP 5212 including an audio recording of two German scientists, so far unidentified , the log is missing the beginning of the recording due to age related damage. This recording has been translated Into English for study by foundation staff:
Begin log
Scientist 1: The Führer must be mad! Recycling troops?! Surely he doesn't expect this to be possible in our current state
Scientists 2: I find your lack in the Fuhrer's wisdom very troubling. We have already had limited results with the [REDACTED] discovered in Finland on the expedition, it's a shame how we lost so many men obtaining them.
Scientist 1: Wait , what? You didn't tell me that the experiments had been a success! May I see the results?
Scientists 2: We haven't tested on any living creatures yet , although we did retrieve many of the bodies from the Finland expedition that still manage to maintain animation for extended periods. The subjects appear to be able to speak in some capacity.
Scientist 1: Marvellous! anomale Studienkommission will get much recognition for this, and who knows , we might turn the tides in the Reich's favour.
[Siren starts blaring and explosion occurs , possibly releasing SCP 5212]
Scientist 2: My God! We must leave immediately, the cells have been breached!
[Multiple animalistic screams echo through tunnel]
Scientist 1: What is that thing? It looks like one of our men but… like a corpse?!
[Scientist 1 and 2 start running with several screams echoing from behind]
Scientist 2: Shit! They've locked us in! You bastards!
[Screams grow closer]
