Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be held in a standard containment locker. In addition, SCP-XXXX is to be within a 9m³ Faraday cage at all times with an access door coated with 3 layers of standard wire mesh.
Access to SCP-XXXX is permitted to personnel with a clearance of Level 3 and higher. In the event any personnel are affected by SCP-XXXX they are to be given a thorough medical exam.
Due to the instability of SCP-XXXX, after any test is conducted on its processor a full 1 week 3 weeks must pass before any further testing occurs.
In the event of SCP-XXXX's effective range growing too large, read Addendum XXXX-I.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a modified version of the Mac Classic Macintosh model computer that runs using a non-standard processor of unknown origin. The computer's frame and accessories have moderate wear consistent with normal use, and frozen on the screen of the object is the beginning of a book titled Summers Conciouse Plee.
The anomalous effect stems from its processor, which constantly emits a high-frequency electromagnetic signal affecting objects in a space corresponding to said frequency. Any matter within the effective range of SCP-XXXX that cannot effectively block electromagnetic fields will be seen experiencing a varying time dilation such as randomly slowing to a stop and speeding up (sometimes at near-instantaneous speeds). Subjects that enter the effective range of SCP-XXXX report seeing these dilations mirrored and reversed to any matter outside of the objects range. Despite having no apparent power source, SCP-XXXX stays in a powered state with no attempt at deactivation proving successful.
Due to the instability of SCP-XXXX's effective area, microscopic particulates within its range may return to their previous momentum pre-dilation. These particulates can inflict internal and external damages to moving subjects within the object's scope and will occur more frequently the longer they are within the object's effective area.
Any attempts to neutralize the anomalous effects of SCP-XXXX through contact with its processor cause further instability to its effective range, resulting in further growth of its anomaly and increased damages to any matter within its range (see Addendum XXXX-III). An increased force applied results in the subjects erosion until termination.
The original creator of SCP-XXXX appears to have been able to somewhat stabilize it's anomalous effects prior to its containment (see Addendum XXXX-II, Journal Log 6), with it's intended purpose to be to speed up time in a given area, but all attempts to re-stabilize the effective range of the object have proven fruitless (see Addendum XXXX-IV).
Contained by the Foundation 10-30-████ in [REDACTED] California, SCP-XXXX was discovered in the study of Mark Zackerburg, a local author that hadn't been viewed outside of his house in months. Failing to appear at a court hearing for the attempted robbery of a computer store, local Bail Bonds were sent to his residence to detain him. Foundation personnel were notified when one of the two bounty hunters searching Mark's residence stumbled upon SCP-XXXX, and was witnessed speeding up at random intervals. Discovered next to SCP-XXXX upon containment was a series of journal logs by Mark Zackerburg that tell of his experience making and using SCP-XXXX (see Addendum XXXX-II). The first few pages of the journal suspecting to contain the detailed creation of SCP-XXXX have been torn out and despite a full search of the Zackerburg residence no pages related to the journal have been found.
Addendum XXXX-I: During the event of SCP-XXXX's effective range growing past its containment area, a 50cm³ Faraday cage will be lowered onto it via helicopter. In the event that the anomalous effects of SCP-XXXX have grown larger than its current site, multiple high-intensity EMPs will be detonated directly outside of the objects effective scope.

SCP-XXXX Test #4, Subject: D-6821
Procedure: D-6821 is instructed to enter the range of SCP-XXXX, detonate an EMP, and attempt to remove its processor.
Results: Upon entering SCP-XXXX's effective range D-6821 can be seen slowing down to a stop, then nearly teleporting next to SCP-XXXX with an EMP and detonator in hand. After 32 seconds of D-6821 barely moving at all, time ceases to fluctuate within the objects range (presumably from the detonation of the EMP). D-6821 can then be seen forcefully tugging on the object's processor for 12 seconds before time fluctuation resumes and all motion within the range of SCP-XXXX freezes. After a few moments, D-6821 can be viewed on the ground with severe lacerations due to SCP-XXXX's increased instability.Test concluded with subject termination and the anomalous range of SCP-XXXX growing by 0.6m.
Analysis: It was previously believed that any inability to remove SCP-XXXX's core was due to its strong magnetic forces and the instant termination of any subject tampering with it. Now, even with the detonation of an EMP that can disrupt magnetic fields, removal of the objects anomalous source seems impossible. Usage of a higher intensity EMP could pose a threat to Site-██, and moving it to another location to use such a device on it would most definitely cause the range of its effects to increase in size and fluctuations. With neutralization of SCP-XXXX seeming nearly impossible, an effort to stabilize it might one day make its anomalous abilities useful to the Foundation.
Addendum XXXX-IV:
SCP-XXXX Test #6, Subject: D-9438
Procedure: D-9438 is instructed plug SCP-XXXX's loose power cord into a 100 Watt battery and wait within the effective range of SCP-XXXX for 5 minutes.
Results: As SCP-XXXX was plugged into the 100 Watt battery, no out of the ordinary behavior could be viewed within the area of the object. However, the effective range of SCP-XXXX increased to a nearly dangerous size during the time it was plugged in. Immediately after 5 minutes lapsed SCP-XXXX was unplugged from its new power source, and D-9438 was retrieved. During the later medical examination of D-9438, it was reported that his lacerations were far less than any other subject that's been within the immediate area of SCP-XXXX for that amount of time.Test concluded in the well being of D-9438 and the anomalous range of SCP-XXXX increasing by nearly 5m to only return to its previous size 2 weeks later.
Analysis: It appears that while giving SCP-XXXX a known source of power does stabilize it's effect on surrounding matter to an extent, it also destabilizes the reach of its time dilation. Further tests on an additional power source for SCP-XXXX must proceed with increased caution.
Footnotes
1. Video of actions taking place within SCP-XXXX can slowed-down/sped-up and compiled within a
computer program to accurately show the time lapse experienced by a subject within SCP-XXXX's
range.
2. While Mark Zackerburg did indeed die from his usage of the ECMP2, we can
infer that it was far more stable in his possession based on the dates in his journals.
