Containment Procedure: SCP-???? is held in a wooden room, fashioned to look like a log cabin with a collection of 3,000 books and 2 large chairs. He may play audio,sing,dance,read,and show stable emotional stimuli. This is normal behavior and significant deviation should be noted and should traumatic and violent fits of emotions as a result of anomaly instability, staff should be transferred in this event to monster the creature and inject it with a paralyzing agent to prevent its motion. If ???? ask for time outside the site, have it escorted by 2 doctors and give 2 guards as escorts. Duration of time outside is to be 1-2 hours maximum. During 2 hour briefings and observations with SCP-????, Staff are encouraged to be cordial and to take notes or recordings of SCP-????'s conversation with Class C staff. Any potential anomalies mentioned should be followed up on and reported to appropriate personnel for investigation and possible deployment of a MTF to obtain the anomaly.
Once ???? nears death,it will request for an individual to transfer its curse onto them. If this request is made please follow the contact the site supervisor and then find a suitable candidate within the next 2 days. Failure might result in the researcher in question being forced to partake over the next year in the ritual. Under no circumstance is the SCP to be touched when in a state of distress. Upon completion of the ritual SCP-???? will perish and the individual who it performed the ritual with will become the new SCP-????. All memory,notes,and documentation of the previous version of SCP-???? will be forgotten or altered to match the new SCP-????.
Description:SCP-???? is a young adolescent male, who claims to hold all of mankind's memories. Upon questioning the SCP has been able to read the thoughts of researchers,and appears to feel the emotions of the individual whom memory it is observing. Further physical stimuli from such memories may also be experienced by ???? and its currently unknown how this is done. The ability of ???? to recall memories seems to be unaffected by distance or time and as long as not asked about a previous version of SCP-????.
It can recall any human activity and memories,these memories may be displayed if an individual lays down onto the mattress in SCP-???? cell. It will then transfer the memory to the other individual if they are willing to accept it. The memories given can be recalled by the person who recived them at any time, however these memories are impossible to alter. This however is a personal self imposed requirement of SCP-???? and if in extreme distress, SCP-???? will be conducive to transfer the traumatic memories to any persons who are in physical contact with it. Due to conflicts across the world and security breaches at other sites SCP-???? has been noted to become sullen and then mournful before feeling agony and asking for the relief for its suffering. To prevent accidental discharge of its ability's it has asked foundation staff to prevent it from moving when in such states for the foreseeable hours. Once SCP-???? has returned to a state of calm foundation staff are to question him on his thoughts, potential items of interest to SCP-???? and Potential locations of other SCP anomalies.
Due to the nature of SCP-???? information about sensitive topics such as War,Violence,Fear,and previous historical events with large casualty counts should be mentioned unprompted by SCP-????. If mentioned staff should expect that SCP-???? will enter a depressed state within 50minutes of such conversations.Personnel are not allowed to ask SCP-???? questions above their clearance level. If found to be in violation of this, the personnel will be given a class C memetic and given a new posting. Questioners are also to be warned that due to the nature of SCP-???? that it's recollections can be as inaccurate as any single individual's memories can be, thus cases with more than one individuals present are to be taken as more reliable in nature as ???? will be able to quickly observe the same event from all individuals perspectives.
[Adendum????-1]:Due to SCP-????'s ability to transfer memories of any individual to any other individual with perfect clarity, it may also remember the alterations made to memories over time as new memories. This may be useful to foundation efforts to monitor any retrospective behaviors of foundation staff in violation of procedures and conduct. Further it could give insight into the effectiveness of certian memetic agents and give general staff notifications if a breach is occurring in a site. Testing on these developments should investigated if possible with possible updates made to the containment chamber to include a button to warn different site staff of a incoming breach attempt. However the use of this may be limited due to the nature of memories always being milliseconds behind reality and while it may passively observe all human kinds memories it can only actively observe one memory at a time. Thus unless something of note occurs its attention is likely to remain on whatever memory or thoughts its having at that moment. This may be overcome with sufficient training however.
[Adendum????-2]:Any use of SCP-???? for potentially overriding certian humanoid SCP's memories with those of a traumatic nature has already been addressed by the ethics council and is forbidden due to both the desire to maintain SCP-???? and to prevent potential abuse of this ability on SCP's mental state that may cause them to become more volatile and dangerous.
The following Exchanges are from SCP-????'s conversation with Dr.Colin at 0600-0700 12/6/2008:
SCP-????: Good morning Mr.Colins, feeling a bit groggy are you? Come inside Ill make you some tea to wake you up a bit.
Dr.Colin: Thanks ????….However Ive already had 3 cups of coffee today, which I assume you already knew seeing as you knew my name before we ever met.
SCP-????: Well your badge clearly states your name and you have bags under your eyes. I can make observations like any other man my good man. I don't have to utilize my ability on you. I prefer natural discovery and conversation when possible.
Dr.Colin: Of Course… I apologize if I came off a bit defensive. Just figured given your ability you would know more about me than I know about myself.
[SCP-???? Proceeds to chuckle and hand Dr.Colin a hot cup of tea. Then motions for him to take a seat and takes a seat in the plush chair in front of the doctor.]
SCP-????: So tell me a bit about yourself before we get into business. Hows life been treating you?
Dr.Colin:Life's treated me well so far. Recently got moved to this position, and it seems relatively safe when compared to my previous one. Family just celebrated thanksgiving recently and the nephews have been growing a lot.
SCP-????:Ah, yes I too can relate. Honestly its the one thing I miss from being normal, having a family, celebrating with them on such a splendid day. Their are far too many times where I look at memories of holidays and can only think that Id love to be there…yes…what a wonderful wishful thought…
[The two are silent for 2 minutes as SCP-???? laughs silently to himself,staring off into space and sips his tea…Dr.Colin takes this time to readjust his glasses and drink his tea.]
Dr.Colin: Well,If you wouldn't mind,may I ask you some questions? After all our time is limited.
SCP-????:[snaps back to reality and lets out a slight sigh.] Very well, please ask me whatever you like. Though id like you not to be removed for asking about some sensitive information.
Dr.Colin: Ill only be asking the questions within my purview of knowledge and that I am permitted to ask.
[SCP-???? motions for the Doctor to get on with his question with one hand. He seems somewhat bored.]
Dr.Colin: Alright so first things first, Have you noticed in the memories of non-foundation members around the world have you noticed any abnormality's since last conversation?
SCP-????:Yes I have.
Dr.Colin: How many?
SCP-????:2…possibly 3 if that one qualifies.
Dr.Colin: Can you begin to describe them to me one at a time.
SCP-????: The first one was seen on a set of computers in Manchester in the UK, about 10 hours ago. It was a odd hairy goat like face on the screen. It quickly appeared on all computers that were left on. However as it appeared only as everyone was closing shop it was only on for a few moments before the computers were all turned off and the lights cut out. All the computers are located in a office complex only a 10 minute walk from the tube. This information is corroborated by 4 memories from 4 people who have now revised their memories to omit the occurrence.
[Dr.Colin is writing down the statement.]
Dr.Colin:Alright, what about the second one?
SCP-????: A body with leathery skin texture was seen in South Florida by one individual. The smell of rot and decay was present when the individual approached the body to investigate. The Item can be found in a swamp marsh area and reeks a horrible smell. The individual in question has not altered the memory beyond claiming the items distance from her was greater than it was. She has alerted police to this and they will be sending out a search party in the next 20 minutes.
[Dr.Colin wrights down the statement.]
Dr.Colin:What about the third one? You said it may or may not count. Can you describe it to me and explain why you feel it may or may not be of concern to the foundation.
[SCP-???? lets out a hearty and heavy chuckle and then stretches.]
SCP-????: Well you see… Im looking at it right now…Im going to die soon…nobody will remember me at all…your records will have a different description of me when this is done. As you have been unable to get me someone not of your staff to take on my role. Im afraid that you my good sir must carry my burden for the rest of humanity. Its either this or all of humanity is to loss its collective memory temporarily while it seeks out a new young vessel to hold all the worlds memories. If that should occur It may be years before you can find them. So unfortunately you must become me.
[Dr.Colin puts his head into his hands and the room is silent for the next 5 minutes.SCP-???? rubs him on the back gently and remains silent as the doctor begins to compose himself.]
[At this point Dr.Colin is to be referred to as SCP-???? Beta]
SCP-????:Doctor I know you've seen the pain ive been in before and remarked that you couldn't imagine what might cause such pain…well…You may learn like I did and the person before me did. Your existence as Dr.Colin will be gone when we finish. You'll be remembered as who you were before this yet nobody will be able to recall what occurred to you. Your family will think nothing of it. But the job you will do will be more important to humanity even more so to the one you currently perform. So will you accept to learn and do your part?
SCP-????Beta:If you will allow me to check my manual and check in with my superiors for a moment…
SCP-????:Of Course. Please take the rest of the day to make your choice. If a college would want to take your place then they merely converse with me in person on the matter. For me it matters very little who takes my place. Only that my burden is lifted and I may die with peace.

Log Notes:
Upon Investigation the first Instance mentioned by SCP-???? was a confirmed case of SCP-1471 infecting the computers in a corporate network. The likely culprit is that someone likely emailed the application to their colleges once they saw it on an app store. All computers were unplugged and disconnected from the server. the server itself has been taken and is in storage. All items were then replaced with new versions and the oldest possible record of the servers content have been screened and uploaded to the new server.
The second case mentioned by SCP-???? was a bog mummy in the Florida swamp marsh's. The item has been found to have no abnormal property's and has been given over to local law enforcement while observation of the item is maintained.
SCP-???? request to begin the ritual to transfer memories to Dr.Colin is approved by protocol. Dr.Colin is to make preparations and is designated SCP-????Beta. Dr.Kimberly will oversee this ritual till completed.

Dr.Kimberly: Its my Job and I can understand how it must feel to have had to make all those calls last night.
SCP-????: Have you made peace with being forgotten?
SCP-????Beta: As Staff for the foundation we expect our names to be forgotten. If we die on the Job we are a star on the wall. No names or ranks or titles. Just a star. In some ways I guess this will be better for those lost…Ill know everything I may ever have wanted about them,Ill know their names right?
SCP-????: Correct, along with the names and titles and nicknames and pet names of everyone who has ever lived. Youll be able to read all the languages ever made and understand all the ones mans ever used.
SCP-????Beta: Will this be painful?
SCP-????:Yes…You'll eventually have to take the memories of pain and suffering, fear and depression,sorrow and anger. I will try to shield you from the worst for as long as I can but you must take all the memories.
[SCP-????Beta sighs in resignation, looks up at Doctor Kimberly,smiles, then waves to her. He then lays down on the mattress and places his hands alongside his body. He slows his breathing and begins to calm himself. SCP-???? sits down on a old wooden chair beside the mattress and lightly puts some soft restraints on his limbs before becoming Doctor Kimberly.]
SCP-????: Do you have the paralyzing agent you use on me when i have traumatic memory attacks?
Dr.Kimberly:Yes.Will you need it to do this because im not aloud to give it to you.
SCP-????:I will want it but be unable to have it. He will need to have it injected into him when I take my hand off him for the third time. By then most of the memories will have faded for me that are pleasant but when i inject him with the last of the good ones im not taking my hand off him till they are all gone.
Dr. Kimberly: Okay…Ill be on standby for that then.
[SCP-???? nods and looks back to SCP-????Beta]
SCP-????: What are 4 of your Favorite things Mr.Colin?
SCP-????Beta: I like fun family gatherings, nice sunny days that are warm, but not too warm… …. Oh also video games… and cute animals.
SCP-????: Well Ill make sure that I start and End with some of those memories. With that…Id like to begin.
[SCP-????,places his hand onto Beta's head. his hand begins to glow and both individuals shut their eyes. Immediately censored pick up a spike in Betas heart rate followed by a lull in it as it slows to a dormant pace. Beta can be seen smiling slightly at this point and is even humming lightly to some music. SCP-???? and SCP-????Beta remain like this over the course of an hour. Then SCP-???? takes his hand off Beta and almost falls into the chair.]
[SCP-???? complains of feeling a bit lightheaded from transferring so many complete memories. He takes a 5 minute brake where he drinks some peppermint tea provided to him by site staff and then looks back to Beta.]
[SCP-????Beta seems to awaken gradually as his heart rate returns to normal. He begins to hum "favorite things" from Sound of Music. He puts his head back down when SCP-???? returns and prepares for the next memory dump.]
[SCP-????, shuts SCP-????Betas eyes and places his hand on SCP-????Betas head once more.The nature of the memories shown are unknown however it's likely the first set of memories shown to SCP-????Beta had arousing imagery as his brain activity and heart rate mirrored that of the response to such stimuli.
[He then proceeds to calm down an additional hour passes, and the nature of the memories returns to content in which we cannot determine with such confidence. However given the wrinkling on fingers suggest that perhaps to calm down SCP-????Beta, ???? had switched the memories to ones relating to water and life near,on or under bodies of water.]
[This continued with variations for the next 2 hours with the wrinkles disappearing and eventually the only effect that could be read was that the memories were pleasant. Finally SCP-???? took his hand off SCP-????Beta forehead and sat down in the chair.]
[Over the next 20 minutes SCP-????Beta comments on roller coasters and callbacks to his childhood. He mentions swimming, biking, horseback riding, learning to drive,watching T.V, learning to read and write, He mentioned a few other examples that are more unorthodox like apprenticeship for a barber and watching and listening to the creation of western works of music,art, literature from a first person perspective.]
[SCP-???? dosn't respond to any comments made by SCP-????Beta and stares coldly at the floor. Then proceeds to stare at Dr.Kimberly.]
[Dr.Kimberly proceeds to the side of SCP-????Beta and injects him with the paralytic agent. She then proceeds to close his eyes. and return back to the observation area.]
[SCP-???? Places his hand onto SCP-????Beta and begins to transfer memories. This time SCP-????Beta's heart rate and brain activity spike. a marked increase in participation on both SCP's.]
[During the next 4 hours of the paralytic duration no emotion or movment occured to SCP-????Betas body. However based on the crying done by SCP-???? he had begun giving SCP-????Beta painful memories. Scars began to appear on SCP-???? neck and on SCP-????'s chest. The Scars began to mimic those of whipings, and of battle scars similar to those that might be seen on a old warrior.]
[After these symptoms,burn marks began to appear on both SCP's and the type and variety of the marks shows diffrent burns of diffrent severity. Radiation burns,chemical burns,and sun burns all were present. This state of affairs lasted for 3 hours.]
Dr.Kimberlys Notes:
[The bodies seem to be healing yet based on the increase in sobbing they had not interspaced the memories with more pleaseant ones. This might suggest that all them may have been tranfered over to ????Beta.]
[The nature of the memories is unkown however the paralitic had sufficently warn off at this point that SCP-????Beta was able to scream and cry out. He did this for the remainder of the memory transfer. Due to Betas cry's we know a general idea of the memories to follow.]

-SCP Anomalie Breaches (Doctor Kimberly recognizes the names given by SCP-????Beta and at this point begins to break down as the words and sounds of our staff & D Class whove perished in their final moments are parroted back from SCP-????Beta.)

[SCP-???? gets up and holds his head. He screams and cries for the next few minutes. Then SCP-???? takes a seat in the chair and falls asleep. The dead body in the room is removed and incinerated.]
