Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is kept on a platform in Site-74 for study purposes, surrounded by a moat of a 70% isopropyl alcohol solution, accessible via a bridge. Each instance of SCP-XXXX is distinguished by an identifying numbered tag tied around the right front leg of each.
Description: SCP-XXXX is the collective designation for a set of 10 steel folding chairs will no manufacturer labeling, individually designated SCP-XXXX-1 to SCP-XXXX-10. SCP-XXXX are capable of independent movement at their hinges, sight, and hearing despite having no physiological difference to a nonanomalous folding chair. SCP-XXXX is capable of moving at up to 5km/hr by altering the positions of their legs at the hinges quickly, though this method of movement is unstable due to their physiology. SCP-XXXX can traverse at it's highest speed for up to 30 minutes until they have to rest. SCP-XXXX will stay within close proximity to each other, similar to a herd or pack, and will become panicked after spending periods longer than 2 hours separated from one another. When SCP-XXXX are near one another and are not traveling they will form a circle facing inward, as can be seen in the provided image. SCP-XXXX will become frightened when in a line of sight of any alcoholic substance and will avoid contact with the substance.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was spotted by tourists in Akron, Ohio, USA. They reported seeing "living chairs" moving between a car and a residential property. The tourists were administered Class A amnestics and were returned to their hotel room. The car and residential property were both identified as belonging to Andrew Noskama, a 46-year-old widower.
A raid of the residence of Andrew Noskama was conducted on 05/01/2018. SCP-XXXX was found in raid and contained after being chased from the residence to a nearby park (all witnessed successfully amnesticized.) Andrew Noskama and Jonathan Farmako, a visitor to the residence, were both arrested in the raid. Interviews with both were conducted, which can be found in Addendum XXXX-A.

When an individual sits on an instance of SCP-XXXX, they will experience a pleasant emotional response which is often expressed as "relaxation" and "warmth." If the individual seated on the instance is currently dependent on alcohol, they will often feel the need to join support groups and "fight their addiction." See Addendum XXXX-B for test logs of this property.

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX are collectively kept in a cage in Site-74. SCP-XXXX are not to come into direct contact with any alcoholic solution during testing without expressed permission from personnel who are Level 4 or higher.
Description: SCP-XXXX is the collective designation for a set of 9 steel folding chairs will no manufacturer labeling, individually designated SCP-XXXX-1 to SCP-XXXX-9. SCP-XXXX are capable of independent movement at their hinges, sight, and hearing despite having no physiological difference to a nonanomalous folding chair. SCP-XXXX are capable of moving at up to 10km by altering the positions of their legs at the hinges quickly, though this method of movement is unstable due to their physiology. When SCP-XXXX are near one another and are not travelling they will form a circle facing inward, as can be seen in the provided image. SCP-XXXX will become frightened when in a line of sight of any alcoholic substance and will avoid contact with the substance in most circumstances.
SCP-XXXX are capable of absorbing alcoholic substances in sizeable quantities, though no pores or alternative methods of absorption have been observed. The absorption of alcohol results in various symptoms of inebriation such as aggression and instability of movement. Absorption of too much alcohol results in an instance of SCP-XXXX becoming a nonanomalous folding chair.
Addendum XXXX-C: On 05/22/2018, a bouquet of flowers and note were found on the doorstep of Andrew Noskama, believed to be placed there the previous night. The note said, "To the friends which we will never see again." The handwriting is currently being compared to that of neighbours.
