Item #: SCP-xxxx

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures:
Due to its nature of existing for shorts amount of time, there is no current procedure for holding SCP-xxxx indefinitely. It is advised to just let the anomaly run its course under foundation supervision. Any attempts to hinder SCP-xxxx have proved to be so far ineffective.

When an instance of SCP-xxxx manifests within any neighborhood, assigned staff are to follow and supervise SCP-xxxx as it makes its rounds. The friendly nature of SCP-xxxx allows researchers to interact with it freely and engage in conversations during the total manifestation event. SCP-xx never strays away from its original spot, usually sticking to the neighborhood block in the immediate vicinity. Once it finishes its deliveries, SCP-xxxx will return to where it originally manifested and disappear out of view of any person.

Description:
SCP-xxxx is a 32 year old caucasian male with brown hair and average build and height. SCP-xxxx wears a uniform resembling that of a United States letter carrier of the 1960s. The uniform has two distinct patches attached to it, the first being a rectangular patch located on the left breast side that bears the name Tom. The second patch, located on the shoulder and hat, is a circle with a logo that matches no currently known mail organizations. SCP-xxxx expresses behavior that of a typical mailman and often shows friendly and approachable characteristics, especially towards researchers. The object has never been observed expressing any negative emotions and keeps up its friendly demeanor even when antagonized. SCP-xxxx will travel house to house in any neighborhood it materializes and proceed to deliver it’s mail.

SCP-xxxx carries along with a standard leather-strapped mailbag indicative of the era. This bag, designated SCP-xxxx-1 posses the property of being able to produce any parcel of mail SCP-xxxx desires. Any parcel retrieved from the bag is not limited to its size and proves no visible difficulty for SCP-xxxx when being retrieved. SCP-xxxx-1 has produced standard letters, brochures, cards, etc. to more extravagant items, such as a bicycle, living animals, and even an automobile. It has also been observed producing parcels of intergalactic and even inter-dimensional origin. (See incident log.)

Currently there is no observable pattern as to how SCP-xxxx chooses which home receives a specific parcel of mail. When asked by foundation personnel during one of its rounds, it simply replied “I deliver them what they need.” (See interview logs.)
