The Ghost and his Wolfunderline text
On October 31 of 20, reports of a Large crystal like wolf in __ U.S. were found credible. Two teams designated Alpha and Bravo were dispatched to asses, and if possible contain the creature for study and designation. The following is the conclusion of the debrief team as to what exactly happened as all recording devices were erased during the mission.
Team Alpha was dropped off near the crystal caves in the area while team Bravo were dropped off nearest the most recent sighting. Team Alpha was the first to locate the creature roughly __ minutes after setting down. The creature which was in fact an excessively oversized wolf with black crystals growing Fromm all over it's body cautiously approached the team.
Team Bravo disguised as Park Rangers questioned any witnesses and applied amnesiacs where applicable, Bravo ultimately discovered that who would've been the most useful witnesses had had their memories of the incident altered. They were able to ascertain that there was a dark shadowy figure also tracking the wolf which apparently appeared and disappeared out of nowhere.
Team Alpha squad leader attempted to coax the wolf into an SCP designed cage for the creature but was unsuccessful, when a nearby member vocalized frustration the wolf became hostile severely wounding Alpha captain. Only minutes after the encounter a 3 meter being appeared before team Alpha, it's form was impossible to describe as if their memories were altered all they claimed to see was the night sky. This being identified itself as a member of the _ race and stated that he meant them no harm.
This being began to question the team on their interaction with the Wolf and asked as to what provoked it to attack. After a series of unknown questions where the team couldn't even recall if they answered, the being was gone without a trace. All they could recall was the being telling them that the wolf is merely tracking something for him and he would be on his way once they found what they were looking for.
Team Bravo regrouped with Alpha upon Alpha reestablishing radio communication, from the combined descriptions of second hand witnesses and the testimony of team Alpha, the being is believed to be a 3 meter tall bipedal reptile with black scales with white dots covered by a black fog of unknown composition.
The entity left no trace but the wolf left a traceable heat signature the team followed, arriving at the outskirts of the town the team noticed the dark figure standing next to the wolf. Both were starring at a ball of light, when the teams approach, the entity vanished. Moments later a voice was heard behind the team, booming as it was the team quickly turned to find nothing there. When they turned back they found that the wolf was gone and the entity was right on top of them, startled the closest team member attempted to strike the entity but his hand passed through it.
The entity seamed rushed, informing the teams that the area was dangerous and that they should leave at once. not long after that statement a bright flash of light from the orb occurred and an object closely resembling SCP-339 appeared and silently fell to the ground soon after it's landing both SPC teams began shrieking in terror as they had become ensnared.
Amidst their involuntary yells of pain the team found themselves collapsed on the ground next to team Alphas transport aircraft with lacerations on their bodies. Using long range reconnaissance gear the team attempted to locate SCP-339 as well as the Wolf and the strange entity. Their equipment determined nothing in the area and team Alpha entered the area to find out what happened.
Without warning the entity could be heard behind team Alpha yet nothing was there, Team Alpha requested Bravo inform them of the entities location but they were unable to do so. Team Alpha team leader attempted to communicate.
" Where are you?"
"Around, does it matter?"
"What happened here then?"
"I saved you, that's all you need know."
"What happened to the object?"
"I have it, you needn't worry, the one in your possession is still there, this one is different."
"What makes you think we have it?"
"This one is different, and I know because I have been there. I have been any places, but only those that I allow can see or hear me, to an extent."
"To an extent?"
"I needn't bother you with the details, all you need know is that I am of no threat to you, I was only here to collect the object. It, unlike yours isn't supposed to be here."
"What does that mean?"
"I've already said too much, I should erase your memories again but simply taking these will suffice."
"Taking what?"
After a half an hour of waiting and repeating the question the team gave up on making contact, upon meeting up with Bravo they were informed that it seemed that Alpha leader was talking to no one. When boarding their respective transports the teams noticed all the data from their recording devices were gone as well as all the backups. Upon reestablishing contact with the SCP foundation the teams were debriefed.
