Description: SCP-5796 are a series of identical black business cards consisting of a name and numerical sequence. The "front" of the business card has the name "Dr. Irvine Black" while the back lists a numerical sequence with a variety of numbers and special symbols. The numerical sequence has been identified through testing as a phone number that can be inputted into any physical phone, regardless of brand or type (see addendum 5796-B1).

When the number sequence listed on SCP-5796 is entered into a phone while in direct possession of an individual who is alone in a sealed room, a humanoid manifestation (hereby referred to as SCP-5796-1) will immediately manifest in the room. Once manifested, SCP-5796 will proceed to darken the room, temporarily disabling all electronics, sealing all entrances, and blocking all outside visibility into the room.

Once the event has begun, subjects report conversing on a variety topics for approximately sixteen minutes, immediately followed by approximately thirty minutes of discussion of one particular topic, determined primarily by SCP-5796 completely disregarding the subject's preferences. The remaining time always creates an exact total duration of fifty minutes, regardless of variation. Once exactly 50 minutes has passed, the room will begin to lighten. Upon complete de-manifestation, subjects can be found anywhere in the room in any state of consciousness. No subjects are ever in comatose or dead following this event, however occasional subjects have been reported missing and were last seen upon the manifestation of SCP-5796-1.

Following the event, individuals exposed to SCP-5796-1 show drastically increased mental health in respects to the topic discussed during the thirty minute discussion time frame and appear to have no additional side effects to the event. While results vary by subject and no discernible patterns have been identified, subjects will usually say they are no longer afraid of something or feel the need to obsess over an individual, event or item. In some instances, subjects with a severe mental disorder claim they do not feel any different, however, pending a brain scans and various psychological tests, these subjects will show a variety of previously missing brain tissue having regenerated and/or lacking any symptoms of the particular mental illness they were previously diagnosed with.

Protocol 476: Upon discovery of a manifestation of SCP-5796 or reports of an individual showing sudden and drastic increases in mental health, a retrieval unit is to be immediately dispatched. Individuals in possession or involved with the individual in possession are to be interviewed in a similar manner to post-testing procedure and immediately given class-C amnestics and given a business card to a therapist on the SCP Foundation's payroll. All instances of SCP-5796 are to be returned to the current storage location immediately.
