Figure A: SCP-XXXX prior to containment.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 2 m by 2 m by 2 m sealed laminated glass case. The case is to be hung by steel cables, approximately 2.4 meters from the ground. Underneath the case, the usual floor has been replaced with a pit, 4 m by 4 m surrounding SCP-XXXX with the pit being approximately 4.2 m deep. If SCP-XXXX-1 breaks containment, patrolled guards must terminate all current instances of SCP-XXXX-1.

Due to recent research, no physical contact must be made with SCP-XXXX.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a film prop replica of a human torso, originally owned by the Kurtzman, Nicotero & Berger EFX Group of Chatsworth, California. SCP-XXXX was scheduled for a upcoming movie titled [REDACTED]. SCP-XXXX was obtained by the foundation after a 911 call, dated 2.16.19██, from a 46 year old male named Mr.████████. Mr.████████ reported corpses with their faces "torn in", and their body described as "rotten", which could have been from natural decomposition. SCP-XXXX must not come in contact with human skin, unless instructed to do so by level 2 or higher personnel. If contact is made with SCP-XXXX, the part of the body that makes contact with SCP-XXXX appears to decompose, causing severe pain to the subject. Other than decomposition of the human body on contact, SCP-XXXX does not pose an intimate threat to the Foundation, or to mankind.

Figure B: Instance of SCP-XXXX-1.

SCP-XXXX produces 3-7 instances of SCP-XXXX-1 every 5-7 hours. An instance of SCP-XXXX appears to be an order of coleoptera, with an unknown family, genus, or species. An instance of SCP-XXXX-1 is approximately 7.62cm by 8.63cm by 7.87cm. SCP-XXXX-1 emerges from SCP-XXXX through the plastic flesh, slowly approaching the surface of the torso. Once an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 has been completely emerged, it quickly scatters around the case, believed to be searching for an exit. Roughly all instances of SCP-XXXX-1 have life spans of about 2 hours each. All instances of SCP-XXXX-1 have grotesque like mandibles that are extremely strong, and can break materials such as:

  • Wood
  • Steel
  • Stone
  • Plastic
  • Concrete
  • Leather

SCP-XXXX-1 has no effect on glass, due to previous tests. SCP-XXXX-1 is vulnerable to any caliber of bullet, so termination of an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 is uncomplicated.

SCP-XXXX was originally contained on the date of 2.18.19██.
