Item #:
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP- is to be kept in a 5m by 5m by 5m containment cell kept at 0 degrees Celcius. No personnel are to come within 2m of SCP- under any circumstances. SCP- does not need to be fed and does not require water, however, the item seems to enjoy manipulating its pseudopods into skate-like figures and skating on ice. As a result, we installed a pool in SCP-’s cell.
Description: SCP- is an amoeba-like organism, approximately 1kiloleter in volume. SCP- is naturally grey but can change its color, on what seems to be its own accord. SCP- has a ball 250litres in volume. Due to the nature of the item and the inability to near it for testing, it is unclear whether the ball is a part of SCP-, it is a separate organism that SCP- engulfed, or it is simply an object that SCP- absorbed, but it will be addressed as SCP-b. SCP-b shows signs of defying SCP- occasionally, such as SCP- traveling in one direction as it is clearly trying to go another.
SCP- seems to have a complex language of gurgles but has learned to speak rudimentary English by being taught to manipulate its slime into vocal cords. SCP- will bend any living organism to meet SCP-’s specific requirements for survival (such as temperature, and glucose levels, etc…), resulting in the death of a troop of scientists in the Antarctic. SCP- does not seem to have any bad intentions and seemed upset at the deaths of the troop, indicating that he either is trying to help them people but is unaware of their biological needs, or he is unable to control his abilities.
Notes: SCP-was discovered by a group of scientists during an expedition in the Antarctic which all quickly died of hypothermia. The Foundations quickly intercepted their final broadcast, blocked it, and retrieved SCP-for transfer to a Foundation containment facility.
Do not approach SCP-under any circumstances. This will result in your death which is highly unrecommended to any Foundation staff.
Addendum SCP—A: “Reminder to all staff: No matter how friendly SCP-may appear, do not approach. If you disobey these orders, there will be no formal punishment by the Foundation, but only due to how you are now deceased. “
