Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a fireproof room with ample ventilation. It must maintain contact with no more than one flammable substance at all times. Personnel interacting with SCP-XXXX must wear a fire-retardant suit and may not carry any flammable object. All personnel who interact with SCP-XXXX for an extended period of time must submit to psychological evaluation every seven days in order to prevent feelings of sympathy, empathy, or pity from interfering with their responsibilities.
Description: SCP-XXXX is the flames produced by the rapid oxidation of a substance. The flames comprising SCP-XXXX are twice the size of a non-anomalous flame. SCP-XXXX takes the shape of a male humanoid, and is capable of speech. When interviewed, SCP-XXXX expressed the desire to become friends with the interviewer unless their intentions were hostile.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered after we intercepted reports of a wildfire that looked like a child crying and apologizing. MTF Epsilon-9 ("Fire Eaters") posed as firefighters to contain SCP-XXXX. Witnesses were made to believe that the crying was from a victim of the wildfire, and that the humanoid shape of SCP-XXXX was a heat mirage.
