Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP is to be confined to a standard 5x5x5 meter containment chamber located in the same wing as a D-class cell block and outfitted with an airlock and decontamination chamber. Both entrances of the airlock are to require a reinforced steel door, with a minimum thickness of 20cm. Due to SCP-XXXX's apparent lack of respiratory needs, and to minimize risk of containment breach, the chamber is to be hermetically sealed while SCP-XXXX is not being used for testing or being provided with meals. The room is to be equipped with a medical safety restraint chair and a helmet with eye covering, with electronic locks capable of being disabled remotely.

Outside of SCP-XXXX's feeding cycle, all entry to SCP-XXXX's containment is to require a full-body hazmat suit. Prior to entry all personnel are to engage the decontamination cycle, and confirm the absence of any skin, hair or other organic particulate. Before entering, security is to confirm that SCP-XXXX has secured itself in the restraint chair with the helmet on and locked. If at any time SCP-XXXX is to be removed from containment for testing, the restraint chair is to be surrounded by an isolation cell comprised of bulletproof glass and the sealed assembly moved to the testing area.

All monitoring is to be conducted from a security room on-site located within the same wing to minimize damage in the event of a breach, and all security personnel assigned to SCP-XXXX must score a minimum of 15 along both tracks of the PCL-R psychopathy test, take a supplement which suppresses positive emotion for the duration of their assignment, or otherwise be judged to be incapable of empathy, love or affection. Security team members who opt for the supplement must be provided class-A amnestics at the conclusion of their assignment.

While SCP-XXXX poses differing risk to both male and female personnel, breach events have been significantly less frequent using an all-female staff, and so it is recommended that male staff members not be assigned to assist with containment or testing.

To minimize the risk of breaches during feeding cycles, D-class personnel should be screened for a sexual preference towards blondes with blue eyes prior to selection. Prior to SCP-XXXX's feeding, selected D-class are to be provided with whatever food or drink they request until their BMI exceeds 30 in order to extend the feeding period.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a female humanoid of varying physical description. Current appearance is that of a woman of European descent, with blue eyes, blonde hair, and fair, unblemished skin. DNA testing confirms the presence of genetic material from several sources, primarily human with some identified as feline, canine and avian. Testing and analysis of additional genetic samples is ongoing. When not in the process of manifesting its anomalous properties, SCP-XXXX is of less than average IQ and possesses minimal physical ability, and displays a psychological profile consistent with a woman in her late teens or early 20s.

SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties manifest during a hunting event. Hunting events are triggered in response to feelings of empathy, sympathy or physical attraction directed towards it, or in response to exposure to sensory stimulus from a person which SCP-XXXX finds attractive, including sight, scent, or the presence of genetic material or particulate including exhalation, regardless of physical distance to the individual at the time. When left without a meal for a considerable length of time, the range of individuals which SCP-XXXX expresses attraction for increases along with SCP-XXXX's sensitivity to stimulus, though no common factor has been located thus far. In one extreme case of deprivation, SCP-XXXX was recorded reacting to the vibrations caused by a guard's footsteps outside the containment cell. To date, only non-anomalous humans have caused a hunting event. The only distinction between the inciting causes are SCP-XXXX's psychological response and stated rationale. A hunting event can be divided into four major phases:

  • Pursuit
  • Contact
  • Initial Feeding
  • Recurrence

Pursuit: SCP-XXXX will move along the shortest available path to make physical contact with the person who initiated the event. SCP-XXXX will grow in strength and agility at an exponentially increasing rate during the pursuit phase with no known limit. Additionally, SCP-XXXX will regenerate from physical harm and rapidly metabolize sedatives applied to it. As such, the steel doors used in containment are not a permanent solution to containment breaches but are instead to slow progress of SCP-XXXX's pursuit phase long enough to identify the cause of the breach and minimize potential harm to surrounding containment cells and uninvolved personnel. SCP-XXXX is capable of perceiving the location of their their target at any range, and will favor pathways which are physically more direct even if they contain more obstructions. For example, when presented with a short hallway with several wooden barriers, and a longer hallway with several turns, SCP-XXXX elected to strike at the wooden barriers until it became strong enough to break them rather than take the unobstructed path next to it.

Contact: Upon reaching the target of the event, SCP-XXXX will attempt to physically embrace them. Upon making physical contact with the target, SCP-XXXX will begin exclaiming several variations of the idea that the target is their destined lover. If the inciting event was caused by positive feelings towards SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX will thank the target and make promises about returning their perceived affections. If the inciting event was caused by exposure to a target which SCP-XXXX finds attractive, SCP-XXXX will begin physically presenting itself for examination by the target, inviting the target to point out what physical traits they like best. In either case, targets will begin to show signs of physical arousal and excitement. Fear responses become suppressed, and if able, targets will return the embrace and look into SCP-XXXX's eyes.

Initial Feeding: SCP-XXXX will begin feeding off the positive emotions of the target, referred to by SCP-XXXX as their "love". The target will begin to lose muscle mass and fat tissue, and will become slightly dehydrated over the course of several seconds. Total weight loss is approximately 1 kilogram. Physical separation during this period has proven impossible and attempts have provoked violent responses from SCP-XXXX post-feeding during testing. After feeding, SCP-XXXX becomes docile for a period of approximately four hours. During this time SCP-XXXX will engage in whatever activities the target desires. If the desired activity requires materials or objects not readily available to SCP-XXXX during the initial feeding, it will apologize and promise to obtain the desired materials for the next feeding period. After the initial feeding the target will still eat and drink and regain lost fluids, but will be unable to recover lost bodyweight.

Absorption and Recurrence: After the feeding period and subsequent bonding activity, SCP-XXXX will seek isolation for approximately four hours. SCP-XXXX will spend this time writing, drawing, singing or otherwise expressing satisfaction along with deep affection towards the target. After the period of isolation has concluded, SCP-XXXX will remain docile and generally cooperative with staff members for approximately eight hours. During this time, so long as the target is alive, SCP-XXXX will not initiate a new event or switch targets, even when presented with love letters or potential targets physically similar to previous targets. SCP-XXXX will remain fixated on their target in conversation, answering interviewer questions in return for information about them such as favorite color, favorite song or known relatives.

After eight hours of docile behavior, SCP-XXXX will begin to experience mood swings, and express worry and fear. SCP-XXXX will seek out reflective surfaces to scrutinize its appearance, with a focus on the biggest areas of difference between itself and the target's physically ideal romantic partner. The mechanism by which SCP-XXXX learns the details about this preference is currently unknown, but in conjunction with its hunting abilities it's hypothesized that SCP-XXXX possesses some manner of telepathic or empathic ability. If SCP-XXXX is already indistinguishable from the target's physical ideal, it will instead fixate on activities or objects the target desires.

If fixated on a physical disparity, SCP-XXXX will attempt to seek out individuals possessing some or all of the desired traits and manifest its anomalous properties in a similar fashion to a hunting event, but with a reduced rate of growth in physical ability. If SCP-XXXX successfully makes contact with an individual possessing a desired trait it will attempt to remove relevant portions of the individual's body to graft to itself and absorb. The process typically results in large amounts of blood loss, but upon successful removal the individual experiences no other negative effects aside from loss of the body part in question. Even removal of vital organs by SCP-XXXX does not result in fatality.

If SCP-XXXX is unable to locate an individual possessing the desired trait within four hours it will express disgust with itself and instead attempt to destroy the nearest individual or individuals possessing the trait. The growth rate of anomalous properties returns to exponential levels, and SCP-XXXX will seek out and attempt to tear apart the nearest individual possessing the trait, along with any others in the immediate vicinity who share it. To ease the process of locating the individual and to reduce the risk of staff members being selected by SCP-XXXX during this process, SCP-XXXX may be transported to a D-class cell block and the individual selected moved to an isolated cell for trait absorption and the administration of amnestics.

If fixated on an activity or object, SCP-XXXX will follow a similar pattern of pursuit to obtain the necessary means to perform or recreate the activity or object. SCP-XXXX has been documented:

  • Cooking meals for the target in accordance with their preferences if given access to a kitchen and ingredients
  • Seeking out instruments and practicing with them or writing music
  • Manufacturing objects from paper, cardboard, felt and other craft materials that are indistinguishable from the real thing aside from composition and utility, including non-functional weaponry, jewelry and clothing.

After successful trait absorption or collection of materials, SCP-XXXX will seek out their original target to feed again and present the changes to their body or gifts for scrutiny, along with altering its personality to adopt mannerisms that are more appealing to the target. Upon successful feeding and bonding the process repeats until the target expires. Typically expiration is due to loss of muscle tissue in and around the heart, occurring approximately 30 days from initial contact in most instances. SCP-XXXX will enter a period of mourning of varying length after which it will resume non-anomalous activity until the next hunting event is initiated.
