SCP-XXXX upon it's initial discovery in ████, P██████████

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a highly secure containment chamber on Site-██. MTF XXXX "The Grave Watchers" must be constantly stationed near the chamber, ready for immediate deployment in case of an SCP-XXXX-A manifestation event. Upon manifestation, SCP-XXXX-A must be immediately subdued and contained within SCP-XXXX as soon as possible.

Description:SCP-XXXX is a rectangular granite stone coffin with the dimensions of 2x0.8x0.7 meters. Its external surface, excluding the intricately carved cross, is decorated with unremarkable carvings. The coffin's cover, despite its estimated weight of 170 kilos, cannot be moved or lifted even with the use of heavy machinery. Only with the manifestation of SCP-XXXX-A, will it open, and lifting it, possible. Observation of the interior during this time reveals a plain granite surface. Returning the cover, after the manifestation event of SCP-XXXX-A will revert it back to its immovable state.

SCP-XXXX-A, refers to the desiccated humanoid that periodically emerges from the coffin. The creature is sentient and hostile, immediately attacking any personnel within its vicinity. Its desiccated state does not hinder its movement, having a speed and agility similar to that of an healthy adult human. However, the creature's strength and hostility increases the longer it is outside the coffin. No weaponry, regardless of level of firepower, is capable of inflicting any damage on the creature, suggesting that it may be indestructible. During an SCP-XXXX-A's rampage, it is reported to be shouting, albeit in a very coarse and nearly unintelligible manner, threats and expletives that is often mistaken to be its growls. It is still under debate if SCP-XXXX-A is truly sapient, as conducting another interview with the creature is too risky and incredibly difficult. The creature can only be subdued when it is heavily restrained, returned and covered within SCP-XXXX. Immediately after sealing SCP-XXXX-A within SCP-XXXX, the object will shake violently for a few seconds, before stopping and becoming inert. Scp-XXXX will remain inert until the next manifestation of SCP-XXXX. All attempts of permanently sealing SCP-XXXX to prevent any manifestation of SCP-XXXX-A has been met with failure.

Addendum: SCP-XXXX was found in ████, P██████████, on 19██, by a group of American archaeologists, and was later donated to the ██████ Museum. Upon the first manifestation of SCP-XXXX-A, resulting to the deaths of 17 both civilians and museum staff, the SCP Foundation was alerted and MTF-██ was sent to subdue and contain the creature. After the death of 9 Foundation agents, SCP-XXXX-A was successfully restrained and was transported, along with SCP-XXXX, to the nearest Foundation facility for containment. The incident was covered up as an attack by an escaped bear from a nearby zoo. Affected civilians were given Class A amnestics. En route, MTF-██ leader, Capt. Nevarra, having noticed the sounds produced by SCP-XXXX-A to sound like human speech, decided to interrogate it. This is the only interview ever conducted with SCP-XXXX-A.

Addendum 2: The increasing difficulty of containing SCP-XXXX-A has reached a point where Site-██'s resources and personnel may not be enough to further contain the creature. Level 4 Senior Researcher Dr. Evalo, has proposed to contain SCP-XXXX-A within SCP-XXXX as Capt. Nevarra's interview with SCP-XXXX-A has suggested that the stone referred to by the creature was probably SCP-XXXX. Fortunately, Dr. Evalo's proposal was indeed effective in permanently subduing SCP-XXXX-A, however it did not prevent the continued manifestation of other SCP-XXXX-A, regardless, the disposal of this new manifestations has been more effective and efficient.

Addendum 3: On ██/██/██, Dr. Evalo was unfortunately killed during the 52nd manifestation of SCP-XXXX-A. During his burial, his colleague, Dr. Pean, noticed an anomaly within the audio of the video records of the ceremony.

The connection of this unknown and unintelligible voice with the 53rd manifestation of SCP-XXXX-A is still under research. Similar audio anomaly, in different pitches, has been found in some video recordings of staff personnel burial ceremonies prior to SCP-XXXX arrival on Site-██. The source of this voices remains unknown.
