TG-1-Critical: TG-1-Critical. Check.
TG-2: TG-2. Check.
TG-3: TG-3. Check.
TG-4: TG-4. Check.
Control: Dr. Alphonse Matsumoto - Control - Check.
TG-1-Critical Alright. Everyone, listen. This is the first exploration of Athos IV. We dont know what to expect, as always. Keep your heads up, and be very careful. Remember, a Critical is with us, dont let anything happen to him. We go in, we get what we want, and we move out. Remember to activate your Magboots on arrival.
TG-1-Critical Control, we're leaving.
All team members arrive on site using a small transportation vessel from Main Derelict. They approach Athos IV wreckage and begin to cutting open an entrance.
After several minutes, a hole is made on the wall of the ship wreckage, revealing the insides already filled with water, with plants and other nature overgrowth scattered across the ship's metals.
TG-2: This used to be a ship…
TG-3: Not anymore…
Team members activate their magnetic boots and attach themselves to the floor of the ship, thus beginning to explore the surroundings and proceed further into the ship.
After roaming the ship for about an hour, the team finds dozens of severed bodies, floating on what appears to be a cafeteria section
TG-2: Christ… [mumbling]
TG-1-Critical Control… Are we video-connected?
Control: Affirmative. You're live.
TG-1-Critical What- How should we proceed?
Control: Ignore the bodies. Try to find food and water. The cafeteria is the perfect place for such. [short pause] Actually, Team, inspect the bodies for their cause of death. I have a bad hunch about it.
TG-1-Critical 3, you heard it. You're a medic, check their injuries. See if you can figure out what exactly killed them.
TG-3 holsters his weapon, grabs onto a corpse and floats him down to the floor, and proceeds to analyse him closely for about a full minute, while the rest of the team explore the blood filled cafeteria waters.
TG-3: Done.
TG-1-Critical Finally. What's your verdict?
TG-3: Their cuts and rips are not from the impact. They were alive after the crash. Something killed them.
TG-2: You gotta' be kidding me.
TG-1-Critical Keep calm. We don't know what killed them. It could of been something else. Besides, we're capable of fighting back if something indeed comes out. It might be the "Raccons" we saw before.
TG-4: The "Raccons" are [EXPLETIVE]. [EXPLETIVE]
Control: Continue the exploration, please.
The team proceeds to explore the cafeteria, collecting 8 units of canned food, 16 blocks of nutrients and 6 bottles of water.
Minutes later, a loud metal trembling noise is heard from the outside
TG-3: What was that?
Some seconds of silence take place, as the team shines their flashlights around the structure
TG-2: The structure integry is most likely faultering. Let's hope this place doesen't fall apart ontop of us.
TG-3: I'm pretty sure-
A loud metal thump is heard in the distance
TG-1-Critical Weapons ready. Now!
The entire team draws their weapons, facing different directions, flashlights pointed to the darkness. TG-1 retrieves a handheld SouRCe (Sound-Radio-Chemical ) localization device. He tempers with the device for some minutes. As the team starts to feel uneasy and the silence fills the room, the device finally beeps, showing signs of something located nearby and in movement
TG-1-Critical SouRCe got something.
TG-2: What is it?
TG-1-Critical No idea. Control w- It's mobile! 0700.
The team faces the direction of the door behind them, shut and stained with dirt and scorches, as well as greenery from the underwater plants. The door's heavy glass barely transparent, almost opaque
TG-2: Distance, 120…. 90…… 60……
TG-4: How fast is that thing? [EXPLETIVE]
TG-2: 30….. 15…!
The next 15 seconds take place with complete silence, with no creature visibile.
TG-4: Where is- [Scream]
The team turns their faces to behind, where the last operative was, meeting an abnormally shaped creature with sharp claws, which cuts TG-4 into pieces, destroying the unit. The team opens fire at the creature, which visibly contracts itself and retreats to the ventilation where it seems to have come from.
TG-2: [EXPLETIVE]. TG-4 is down.
Control: Return to "Abee". Withdrawal. Take Critical back to Abee at all costs. Get him out of there.
TG-2: Roger.
TG-3: Roger
TG-2 goes ahead and TG-3 goes behind TG-1 and begin to escort him towards the exit
TG-1: He's coming back.
TG-1 checks the above and the ground with his weapon pointed
TG-1: No vents. He's coming directly at us. Shit.. He's too fast- We're almost at "Abee".
Control: Do not risk losing Critical.
TG-3: Critical, make a run for it.
TG-1: The supplies. I'll carry them. Hand them over
TG-1 drops his weapon, flashlight and non-essential equipment, and takes TG-2 and TG-3's backpacks, disables his Magnetic Boots and boosts himself towards the exit as quickly as possible.
All the while TG-2 and TG-3 engage the quickly approaching creature
TG-3: [EXPLETIVE]. He's here. Go!
TG-3 is quickly dismembered by the creature, as TG-2 continues to shoot at the creature
TG-2: We're done for, good lu—
TG-2 falls for the same fate as TG-3, being torn apart
TG-1 arrives at the "Abee" exploratory vessel, visibly uneased. He unloads himself of supplies and pilots the ship back to Derelict Prime.
Control: This marks the end of the Exploration. A total failure. Return to Derelict for debriefing. The creature will be processed later.
