Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4972 is to be kept within a 19ft by 17ft lead lined shipping container. The shipping container holding SCP-4972 is to be guarded by at least 4 hazmat personnel and 2 guards wearing modified radiation suits. SCP-4972 is currently under the supervision of Drs. Kelsen and Miculus, any personnel below level 3 security clearance are to converse with them before gaining acess to SCP-4972. Currently SCP-4972 is being moved around to multiple sites for testing in different environments so it has been placed in a lead lined shipping container to be put on the back of a truck as a means of transporting it between sites. During the time it is transported 2 hazmat suited security personel are to be put in the back with SCP-4972.
Description: SCP-4972 is a red 1957 convertible. It is 17ft wide, 15ft long, and 6ft tall. when the trunk of the car is lifted it reveals a cylindrical container measuring 12ft in volume. The container holds 4 uranium rods that act as the cars power source, this is designated as SCP-4972-1. All attempts to remove SCP-4972-1 from the car have failed. There have been no brand names found on SCP-4972 except for one on SCP-4972-1 that says "Radiated Runner" however no evidence has been found showing that the company exists. When the car is powered it emits high levels of radiation that surpass the lethal level. Those affected by the radiation emitted by SCP-4972 will have no radiation sickness but will have some unforeseen side effects. Many instances of the effects caused by SCP 4792-1 coincide with common radiation myths with example from tests showing growth of extraneous limbs, new found powers, increase in size, and in some instances an increase in intelligence. SCP-4972 was recovered on ██-██-██ from the town of █████,Nevada. Local authorities were flooded with several cases of people dying due to strange variations of radiation poisoning. After the CDC were called in to investigate SCP-4972 was found to be the epicenter of the event after being found in a storage unit in (REDACTED), however once the unit was opened a large unknown creature attacked one of the agents and was then put down before any one was killed, further examination showed that the creature was an enlarged rat affected by SCP-4972-1. SCP-4972 was taken into foundation custody shortly after being tested by the CDC. A story was made saying that a truck carrying radio-logical materials off the road and in the accident the radio-logical material spilled out. The storage unit SCP-4972 was found in was owned by a 70 year old man who was later interviewed by foundation personnel shortly after the acquisition of SCP-4972.

SCP-4972 Owner: I want a lawyer.
Dr. Kelsen: Relax sir, we are not accusing you of anything, we just want to ask you some simple questions to finish our job and go home.
SCP-4972 Owner: (he sighs) Alright ask a-fucking-way.
Dr. Kelsen: How did you come to posses the car we found in your storage unit?
SCP-4972 Owner: Well that stories a bit of a doozy.
Dr. Kelsen: Trust me sir, I have heard those kind of stories before.
SCP-4972 Owner: Okay, so one day i'm just sitting in my living room watching the news and I get a knock on my door. When I open it some kind of salesman is their asking for some of my time. I told him I didn't want what he was selling but he intrigued me with the way he described the product. He told me that his company was giving away a free car, I was sure as hell skeptical but I thought Screw it and decided "Screw it, got nothing better to do." So I told him to put my name on his list and he left.
Dr. Kelsen: Could you tell me what this salesman looked like?
SCP-4972 Owner: Well he was wearing a brown suit with a blue tie, he had brown hair and green eyes, looked to be about 30, maybe 35, and was about average height. He also talked kind of funny too.
Dr. Kelsen: Intresting.

Closing Statement: After the conclusion of this interview several teams went searching for this "Salesman" but the only record we could find of him was footage from a trafic light showing him go down to ████████ street towards the home of SCP-4972's owner.
Addendum 4972-A1: The test log of SCP-4972 has shown various degrees of success during said tests, during all tests with SCP-4972 extreme caution is to be exercised.

Subject: D-4114
Procedure: D-4114 is to operate SCP-4972 for a duration of 30 minutes while under supervision of multiple on site security personnel. D-4114 is not to be equipped with radiation gear.
Results: One hour after exposure to SCP-4972-1 D-4114 grew a second set of arms. Once rushed to the infirmary he was given a full clean off to remove any residual radiation. D-4114 requested to keep his new appendages, this request is currently under review by Site-██ personnel.
Addendum 4972-A2: Currently several test log files related to SCP-4972 have become corrupted or have gone missing, current efforts are under way to recover these files however and for the moment any personnel involved in the testing of SCP-4972 are to step forward to help reproduce these test logs.
