Item #: SCP-9585
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-9585 must be observed at all times, as to ensure that the entity does not interact with our world by any means. While unobserved, the entity can be heard making strange noises not unlike a human with a terribly low microphone quality, breathing sharply. Upon becoming observed once more, the entity is no longer located on the screen it is contained in. It is unknown where the entity appears after being left alone for a period of time.
Description: SCP-9585 is a user located in the popular sandbox game Minecraft, under the username “shitass”. The appearance of the user is rather crude, adorned with a smile and two dotted eyes. The “clothing items” of this character are as follows: red boxer briefs and a light blue short-sleeved shirt (see Photo 9585-A).
Personnel that have interacted with the entity in-game have noticed that the entity appears suddenly in a randomly chosen server contained on Minecraft. If given a task or a challenge verbally or otherwise by a subject, SCP-9585 will wordlessly accept the challenge as the subject begins the challenge they gave to the entity. While completing the challenge, subjects have been noted to begin labored breathing and slamming on the keyboard given to them in an erratic manner. However, no physical damage has been observed. After the challenge is completed by the subject, the entity will have, upon being observed, completed the challenge effortlessly. In rare cases, SCP-9585 will be seen doing the task while being observed, of course after the subject completed the task themself. Again, the entity completes the task with ease. Afterwards, if the subject mocks the entity using crude diatribe, the entity runs towards the subject at an extreme speed and eradicates them inside the game. Often, however, the subject will be eradicated in-game without SCP-9585 even interacting with them whatsoever.
After SCP-9585 has completed eradicating the subject, it will promptly exit the game with no fanfare. However, human test subjects have noted a strong urge to go back into the game and try to complete the challenge again, or a new challenge entirely. If they do so, the outcome is always the same.
Addendum 9585-1A: Experiment Log (transcription of audiovisual footage)
Subject: Male, 24, very little experience in playing hMinecraft
Supervising researcher: Dr. J███
Location: Containment cell-██ (researcher and staff observing from surveillance camera nearby, guards near door on standby), Site-██
Begin Audiovisual Log 9585-1A.
Hey shitass, wanna see me build a house?
A house begins to be built by subject. Various sounds of slamming and heavy breathing can be heard while building, likely induced by SCP-9585.
Stupid bitch.
34 seconds pass. A house has been built inside the game. Subject turns around in-game to face SCP-9585, who has now appeared to have built a rather complex and large house. Subject is visually astonished.
How the- how the fuck? How did you build that so fa-
Subject turns towards SCP-9585 again after observing the house, but is soon interrupted by the entity barreling towards them at an alarming speed with a “Netherite” sword in-game. Subject can be heard loudly screaming.
Audiovisual Log 9585-1A terminated.
Addendum 9585-1B: Research notes by Dr. J███
After audiovisual log 9585-1A concluded, the mentioned subject was observed to be disturbed by SCP-9585. The subject has noted to me and other personnel after the experiment concluded that he wishes to participate again. Personnel and I have told him many times that he may not discuss any of the experiment’s details after it has concluded, but the subject continues to insist on going back. Note that the subject does own Minecraft at his residence, but has noted that he wishes to see “shitass” (SCP-9585) again. All communications with the subject have been terminated as of late.
