Special Containment Procedures: Due to the immobile nature of SCP-5001, Area [REDACTED] has been built around it. A one (1) mile perimeter to be established around the affected area. All trespassers are to be interrogated then given class a amnestics and a cover up story is to be made as quickly as possible according to what they saw. Area [REDACTED] is to be under 24 hour surveillance especial around October 31, also known as Halloween. And security is to doubled as a safety precaution. For the researchers safety, no on-site personnel are to approach SCP-5001 at any time. If any person or entity is seen approaching SCP-5001 they are to be shot on sight. Only armed security guards and D Class personnel are able to take care of any threats from SCP-5001. Direct interaction with SCP-5001 is permitted only for the purpose of research to eliminate SCP-5001 and must be approved by three (3) 05 personnel.
Area [REDACTED] is under the cover of a nature reserve in order to keep people away. All guards are to wear forest ranger gear in order to keep suspicion to a minimum. The area was constructed around SCP-5001 in order to contain and neutralize all threats that the SCP imposes. Walls twenty (20) feet high reinforced with rebar are to be maintained and weekly checks to make sure there is no significant structural damage. If significant structural damage is found it is to be repaired immediately unless SCP-5001 is in its “Active Phase” (see description paragraph three). Armed guards are to be overlooking the containment area via catwalks on the wall. The D Class personnel are to be ready at all times to help with routine maintenance, testing and termination of all SCP-5001-1’s (see paragraph one in description).
Description: SCP-5001 is located in [REDACTED] Massachusetts. SCP-5001 is a small cottage style house from the 1600’s with an unknown amount of entities inside. It contains 4 rooms, a cauldron room, an armory, a study, and a blood room. The markings in the “Blood Room” are thought to be made of human blood. It is theorized that SCP-5001 has a basement but that is yet to be proven but with the amount of entities, [REDACTED] since in foundation custody it is more than likely. The house is worn down and is made from pine common in the area. It also has an abnormal amount of “witch windows” (windows tilted about 45 degrees). The house itself is normal but the creatures within (SPC-5001-1) are highly dangerous and unpredictable.
SCP-5001-1 are humanoid entities with superhuman abilities. It is currently unknown what they look like but wear a wooden mask and black robe. All attempts to remove the mask have failed. All personnel report feeling anxious and ultimately do not want to remove the mask. Instances of SCP-5001-1 are extremely smart and are believed to have an above average IQ compared with the average human. SCP-5001-1 are usually equipped with a wand (SCP-5001-2) of unknown composition and a broom (SCP-5001-3) used for flight also of unknown composition. It is currently unknown how either SCP-5001-2 or SCP-5001-3 work. But it is theorized that the broom is normal until an instance of SCP-5001-1 puts a spell on it and the wand is used to help make their spells. SCP-5001-1 the instances are only able to cast spells when they have SCP-5001-2 in their right hand. These spells can range from “simple” healing spells to controlling the environment around them. Without SCP-5001-2 and SCP-5001-3 the SCP itself is actually quite weak. So if the attacker can dodge all the attacks and shoots SCP-5001-1 quickly enough they can be successfully terminated. If either of these items are recovered they are to be stored in a maximum containment locker at site [REDACTED] and under 24 hour surveillance. And the bodies of deceased SCP-5001-1 are to be incinerated on site.
From November 1st to October 25th is considered the safe or “Grace Period” of SCP-5001. During this time nothing out of the ordinary has happen as of documentation. But during the hours of 12:00 A.M. to 3:00 A.M. on October 26th to October 31st is when the house is in its “Active Phase”. During this time all non-essential personnel are to be evacuated and all armed guards and D Class personnel are to be prepared or preparing during this time.
SCP-5001 was discovered on [REDACTED] by Dr. [REDACTED] when there were sightings of witches near the town of [REDACTED] Massachusetts. A cover up story was immediately put into action along with the construction of Area [REDACTED]. Class A amnestics were also used on people who claimed to have seen an instances of SCP-5001-1.

Document-5001-2-a: First exploration of SCP-5001 on [REDACTED]
On [REDACTED] at 1200 hours small unmanned vehicles, one rover and one drone were used to explore the exterior and interior of SCP-5001. For simplicity rover will be called Alpha 1 and drone will be called Alpha 2. Alpha 1 is equipped with high speed motion cameras capable of 1080p 30fps live feedback. And Alpha 2 is equipped with a heat detection camera.
- At 1200 hours Alpha 2 was deployed first to make sure no instances of SCP-5001-1 were active.
- At 1230 hours Alpha 1 was deployed and was munivered toward SCP-5001.
- At 1235 hours Alpha 1 went through the front door without an issues.
- At 1236 Alpha 1 came into room one (1 Cauldron Room). In the room there was a large cauldron which appears to be made of the same material as SCP-5001-2. Their were also empty bottles on the shelf presumed for making potions. Alpha 2 reports nothing strange.
- At 1247 hours Alpha 1 entered room two (2 Armory). In the room their were SCP-5001-2 on one wall and SCP-5001-3 on the opposite wall. On each of the items their appeared to be name tags. Alpha 2 reports nothing strange.
- At 1259 hours Alpha 1 entered room three (3 Study). The study has 2 wall of bookshelves and a large desk with more books. Alpha 2 reports nothing strange.
- At 1316 hours Alpha 1 entered room four (4 Blood Room). On all four walls their were symbols and words in an unknown language. When Alpha 1 went up to the east wall and scraped some of the red substance into a vile for testing. The read substances appeared to have the same constancy human blood hence “Blood Room”.
- At 1317 Alpha 2 reports a that an unknown entity was right on top of Alpha 1 using the heat detection camera.
- At 1317.5 hours Alpha 1 aims the camera up toward the ceiling of the room. An instance of SCP-5001-1 was scene looking down strait at Alpha 1. After about 2 seconds The instance of SCP-5001-1 then jumped down on Alpha 1 destroying it immediately. The last image Alpha 1 showed was a trap door in the corner of the room.
- At 1318 hours Alpha 2 lost contact with HQ.
- At 1320 hours mission is aborted and Area [REDACTED] was put on high alert.
- At 1325 hours Alpha 2 was recovered along with photage of the mission.
-At 1500 hours it was declared that the area was safe.
Document-5001-2-b: Note from are head Dr. [REDACTED]:
Because of the outcome of the recent exploration and only exploration of SCP-5001 no more explorations or tests are to be made unless it is to help destroy or contain this anomaly. Also even though SCP-5001 was in its “Grace Period” the SCP will be activated if any object enters the affected area. So on one should be near SCP-5001 at any time.

Defending Area [REDACTED] is becoming harder and harder every year. We need to double or even triple the amount of armed guards and D Class personnel. Last time was too close, over [REDACTED] percent of our guards and D Class died. We are on the verge of losing Area [REDACTED] to SCP-5001-1. This would be a cataclysmic event that could destroy all of New England or possible even more. I feel like something bad is going to happen.
Interview Log-5001-4-a: Regarding the recent attack in Site [REDACTED]

-Dr. [REDACTED]: Can you tell me what happened on October 31st?
-Agent [REDACTED]: … (10 seconds of silence)
-Dr.: Are you ok?
-Agent: Sorry, that was just a nightmare. What do you need me to tell you? You have everything on video?
-Dr.: No one else want to tell us what happened and the files are destroyed so we hoped that you would shed some light on the situation.
-Agent: Alright, I woke up at about 12 A.M on October 31st to screaming and a lot of gunfire. So me and my squad (squad contained 10 people) immediately suited up and went outside to neutralize some of the witches.
-Dr.: And What happened in the fight?
-Agent: … (10 second pause)
-Dr.: Are you ok?
-Agent: NO!!! I AM NOT OK!!! *stands up from the chair*
-Dr.: If you don’t calm down then I will have to get the guards in to take you away.
-Agent: *sits back down* Sorry. (10 second pause) My whole squad died. They did not even have a [REDACTED] chance to react. One of those [REDACTED] witch’s killed them! In some sort of weird language. The next thing I know some red light comes out of the wand it is holding and bam! They are all dead with a hole in all of their chests.
-Dr.: Then what happened?
-Agent: I luckily move out of the way in time and managed to kill that thing somehow. It’s funny how strong yet weak those things are.
-Dr.: You were commemorated for you bravery correct?
-Agent: Yes I was along with 3 others who killed the other 3 witches. ( in total 4 witches cam out)
-Dr.: Do you have and thing else to say?
-Agent: (5 second pause) How many more are in there?
-Dr.: We don't know-
-Agent: *stands from chair* DON'T YOU SEE!!!
-Dr.: Do I have to tell you again to sit-
-Agent: NO YOU LISTEN FOR ONCE!!!
-Dr.: Guards!
-Agent: LAST YEAR THERE WERE ONLY 2 OF THOSE [REDACTED] WITCHES!!! NOW THERE ARE 4 OF THOSE DAMN THINGS!!! *guards have entered the room and taking out Agent [REDACTED]* DON'T YOU SEE!!! WHAT DO YOU THINK IS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT YEAR?!?! AND THE YEAR AFTER THAT!?!? WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO THEN!!! *guards have taken out Agent [REDACTED] and his screams fade out*
-Dr.: (10 second pause) Hopefully by tomorrow he will cool down. But he is right.

During the “Active Period” of SCP-5001 armed guards and D Class personnel are to be doubled or even tripled due to the recent attack on Area [REDACTED]. And weapons will be upgraded to plasma cannons. As SCP-5001 becomes more hostile more reinforcements will come.
