Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a standard safe anomalous item locker at Site-19. Use of the object is to be allowed for maintenance purposes and for the construction of specialized containment cells made from nonstandard materials requiring an airtight seal at the approval of any staff of at least security level 3.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a Snap-On brand model MIG 135 welding machine capable of joining any two materials together. It must be kept supplied with a gas mixture and steel wire spool typical of standard welding processes and must be supplied with power from a 120V socket, as with a non anomalous example of the same model.

SCP-XXXX was discovered by an agent embedded at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama when Carl Stevens entered the emergency room with his hand fused to a sheet of steel. He was taken in for questioning after the steel was removed and amnestics were administered to witnesses in the hospital. Stevens led agents back to the Stevens & Stevenson Body Shop where the object was located. Attempts to locate the previous owner of the item have failed.

Paulsen: Good afternoon, mister Stevenson. I have a few questions I'd like to ask you today.

Stevenson: Yeah, sure. Is that bright light necessary? I haven't done anything wrong, have I?

Paulsen: Don't worry, you'll be just fine as long as you cooperate. Just a few simple questions. How did you become aware of the special properties of your welding machine?

Stevenson: I suppose we knew from the start, really. Got it used off a teenage kid about a year ago. Said he was some kind of artist, but didn't need it anymore. Said it was special, but not much else. Hey, is Carl gonna be okay?

Paulsen: He's being taken care of, no need to worry. Have you tried anything unconventional with the machine?

Stevenson: Well, not on purpose. We experimented a little after that Norvac kid messed up good though. Got too close to a plastic part, but I'll be damned if it didn't weld the plastic right to the metal. Never seen anything like it.

Paulsen: Please continue.

Stevenson: Well, we started trying things out. plastic, rubber, things that wouldn't work at all with the machine. It eats steel and spits out whatever material it needs to! Hell, even concrete.

Paulsen: Interesting. Do you have a record of the person you bought it from?

Stevenson: No sir, bought it with cash, three hundred dollars in a parking lot where we met up.

Paulsen: This has been enlightening, mister Stevenson. That'll be all for now.
