Special Containment Procedures: The artifact is to be kept at its original location inside the inner sanctum of Containment Site TR-01. The local populations living in the nearby village have knowledge of the already existing security measures inside the site guarding the artifact. Because of the lethal nature of these security measures inside the site, it is to be kept closed off from the public with safety concerns being the official reason.
A sign is to be posted at the site entrance stating that the interior of the building is restricted due to structural integrity concerns and risk of collapse. All unauthorized personnel who attempt to enter are to be turned away.
Hidden security cameras with night vision are to be maintained throughout the site and at least one person is to be observing the live video feeds at all times.
As the village elders know more about the artifact, its properties, how to keep it contained, and the traps in the containment site, they retain the sole authority over all access and activities within the site. All actions inside the site must be authorized by them before being carried out. All Foundation personnel are strictly prohibited from entering the site without their approval. The artifact shall not be removed from the site for any reason.
Should the artifact be removed and containment gets breached, it must be located and recovered immediately to be returned to the site before any instance of SCP-XXX2-03 escapes from the site.
No part of Site TR-01 is allowed be altered or damaged without first consulting the village elders for authorization. Such actions could compromise the integrity of the containment measures in the area resulting in a possible breach.
Description: The artifact is a small idol representing the deity known as [REDACTED]. Its dimensions are 14 x 10 x 10 cm. The idol is made of solid gold and weighs [REDACTED]kg. The artifact was created by the ancient civilization of [REDACTED] on the orders of their deity [REDACTED] as a part of a method for containing SCP-XXX2-03. The ancient [REDACTED] Temple of [REDACTED] located at [REDACTED] designated as Containment Site TR-01 serves as an ancient containment site which is powered by the artifact and also keeps it safe from theft.
The existence of SCP-XXX1 was revealed after consulting the local villagers on how to contain SCP-XXX2-03 at Site TR-01. Their mythology contained the knowledge on how SCP-XXX2-03 was contained before. They revealed that the ancient containment system was severely compromised when the artifact was removed from Site TR-01 by an expedition team who raided the site looking for treasures.
The artifact was located and recovered by Mobile Task Force: Tomb Raiders from the Museum of [REDACTED] and returned to Site TR-01. An exact replica has been left in its place. By the time MTF Tomb Raiders arrived at TR-01, containment was already being breached. All instances of SCP-XXX2-03 were successfully recontained upon the artifact’s return to Site TR-01 preventing an XK-Class End of the World Event from starting.
According to the [REDACTED] mythology, SCP-XXX2-03 is a series of malicious extradimensional entities known as [REDACTED]. They appeared during the year [REDACTED] BCE and initiated an XK-Class End of the World Event that was only stopped by the High Priests of the [REDACTED] by creating SCP-XXX1 and constructing Site TR-01 to contain them. Since then SCP-XXX2-03 has remained fully contained until the artifact was stolen. Now that the artifact has been returned SCP-XXX2-03 no longer poses a threat to the world.
Addendum: [DATE REDACTED] Due to a series of attempted break ins by three different teams of unknown mercenaries, additional security measures have been purposed and are being brought before the village elders for consideration.

Depends on SCP-XXX1 to function but has a temporary backup power source that will activate should SCP-XXX1 go missing provided that the containment systems have not been severely damaged. This temporary source will eventually run out allowing SCP-XXX2-03 to breach containment causing an XK-Class End of the World Event.
SCP-XXX2 Class: Euclid » Supernatural Entities that are contained by SCP-XXX1-01. Consist of SCP-XXX2-01, SCP-XXX2-02, and SCP-XXX2-03.
SCP-XXX2-01 Class: Euclid » Spirits of the High Priests protecting the Temple from intruders. Will allow individuals and objects that do not intend to desecrate or loot the temple to pass. Cannot venture outside the temple for any reason.
SCP-XXX2-02 Class: Euclid » Spirits of the High Priests who turned traitor and assisted in the theft of SCP-XXX1. Will attack all individuals on sight regardless of their intentions. Cannot venture outside the temple for any reason.
SCP-XXX2-03 Class: Euclid » Extradimensional Demons being contained by SCP-XXX1 and Site TR-01. Containment relies on Site TR-01 remaining functional. Will attack all individuals on sight with no rhyme or reason. Should containment be breached they will appear through a hole in the fabric of time and space that appears in the inner temple. Will venture outside the temple and cause a XK-Class End of the World Event. If containment is restored before they escape the temple then everything is fine.
Overview of how all of this went down:
SCP-XXX2 was discovered by the Foundation when it was learned that access to an ancient temple located in South America was restricted due to rumors that anyone who ventured inside it would get hurt by something unknown ever since a sacred artifact was stolen from it.
A Mobile Task Force was sent in to investigate. But were warned by the villagers that access was prohibited due to Structural Integrity issues. It was decided that the MTF would enter the temple during the night. Body armor with night vision helmet cams along with flash lights would be used to illuminate the inside but flashlights were not used. [Exploration Log 01]
They were confronted by an unknown shadowy entity that materialized out of thin air and demanded who they were and why they had come to the temple in Spanish. The figure looked and felt solid. Helmet Cams picked this up and the Foundation classified it as SCP-XXX2-01 with a object class of Euclid. [Exploration Log 01]
When it was explained that they did not intend to do any harm, the entities allowed them to pass but warned that others in the temple would become hostile if spotted. The MTF did not make it far into the temple because of deadly traps being installed throughout the place. A few of them were killed immediately upon setting one of them off. It was assumed these traps were part of an ancient security system designed to keep out intruders. [Exploration Log 1]
SCP-XXX2-02 was discovered when remote controlled drones were sent into the temple and could bypass most of the traps. However the drones were spotted by a series of similar shadowy entities that attacked them on sight. These were different according to the video feeds on them. As such they were also designated as Euclid since they appeared to be unable to leave the temple. [Exploration Log 2]
Unable to figure out what these entities were, they enlisted the help of Dr. [REDACTED] and showed him the footage. He knew nothing and said to ask the villagers as they might be more helpful since their ancestors built the temple in the first place.
An interview was conducted in which one of the village elders was asked about the mysterious entities and was shown the same footage. He questioned why they tried to enter the temple even when they were warned. The MTF explained that they wished to help take care of these entities and asked if there was a way to do so. [Interview 1]
He explained that those were known as the “Corrupted Ones” and happened to be the spirits cursed by the temple to remain as restless ghosts for failing to keep a sacred artifact from being stolen by an expedition team many years ago. The ones who were reasonable were ones who defended the temple. The other ones who attacked on sight were the ones who turned traitor and assisted in the theft of the artifact. [Interview 1]
When asked what the temple was built to do he explained that thousands of years ago there was a dangerous series of different entities that did not exist in this universe or reality. They tried to invade and cause a XK-Class End of the World Event. As such, their ancestors formed a group of high priests and managed to stop it from happening by building the temple to serve as a containment site powered by the artifact. [Interview 1]
He elaborated that there was still some power left in this temple now designated as Containment Site TR-01 to keep those monsters contained. But that they were not sure when that power would run out. When asked what this artifact looked like he provided an ancient image. [Interview 1]
The Foundation decided quickly that the recovery of this artifact, whatever it may be was to be of the highest priority. The Foundation used its resources to search the entire world for it. It was soon located to be in the collection of a Museum of [REDACTED] on display. Mobile Task Force: Tomb Raiders was sent in to retrieve it from them and leave an exact replica in its place. [Recovery Operation Log 1]
Once it was recovered MTF: Tomb Raiders returned it to Containment Site TR-01 and with the village elder’s approval, entered the site, avoided the instances of SCP-XXX2-01 and SCP-XXX2-02, got passed the traps, and returned the artifact to its alter just as containment started to be breached. This restored power to the site and prevented what is assumed to be the malicious entities the elder mentioned from escaping the site. Now they are back in containment and the traps have been deactivated. [Exploration Log 3]
MTF Tomb Raiders shared the footage of what was witnessed. This is the first time the Foundation got a look at the malicious entities now designated as SCP-XXX2-03. Just as MTF Tomb Raiders arrived at the chamber where the artifact belonged, a mysterious rift appeared out of thin air and these demons emerged from it. They attacked but were repelled with a melee weapon. [Exploration Log 3]
Once the artifact was placed back on the alter, the hole disappeared and all instances of SCP-XXX2-03 instantly vaporized. The artifact sent a blinding flash of light throughout the site as the containment systems powered back up. Instances of SCP-XXX2-01 appeared and thanked MTF Tomb Raiders for restoring the site. Foundation Scientists were unable to identify SCP-XXX2-03 with any of the well known mythical creatures. However according to one of the relatives of one of the members of MTF Tomb Raiders who knows a lot on obscure South American mythology, Site TR-01 was not the only place that contained instances of SCP-XXX2-03.
It was learned that this relative during her youth had an ancestor who encountered and was killed by instances of SCP-XXX2-03 when a different temple containment site was raided for its treasures by another expedition team. The entire team was killed when the site’s containment systems were severely damaged causing a breach when its artifact was taken. It was returned by a native who got restored containment to that site. It has not been touched since. [Interview 2]
Further research indicated that there might be dozens of these temple containment sites located all across South America all designed to contain SCP-XXX2-03. If they have also had their artifacts stolen then the possibility of a containment breach is still present. The locations of these sites are being tracked down now. The Foundation must find and secure them as soon as possible before an XK-Class End of the World Event is caused.
What was also found in the video footage was a odd design carved into the temple walls. It looked identical to the SCP Foundation Logo. If this same symbol can be found in other temple sites, then it could be evidence of a proto-foundation. One that created anomalous objects to contain other anomalies. As far the SCP Foundation knows, they never existed that far back in time. If they did indeed exist that far back in the past, all knowledge of it has been lost to history.
As containment is restored to each of the temple containment sites, MTF Tomb Raiders will need to maintain a background presence at each site to prevent further theft attempts by treasure hunters. A dedicated secure communications network is created to keep all teams of the MTF in constant contact with each other since this entire situation will need to be monitored across multiple sites.
Things To Consider:
Consolidate all SCP-XXX2 entities to a single SCP Document and possibly consider merging with SCP-XXX1 into one large document.
Will need to decide on a Greek letter and number for Mobile Task Force: Tomb Raiders. This is how Mobile Task Forces are officially designated by the Foundation.
Mobile Task Force: Tomb Raiders will be dedicated to containing these entities and protecting the temple sites only.
Some of details in this story line might be able to be expunged for brevity.
Site TR-01 Exploration Log 01:

Team of 5 men.
Equipment: Full body armor, combat helmet with night vision cams, radio comm links, standard sidearms, and flashlights.
Names: Alpha-One, Bravo-Two, Charlie-Three, Delta-Four, Echo-Five
Team enters inner temple. They reach a junction with three passages. One goes forward, another left, last one goes right.
An SCP-XXX2-01 instance confronts them and asks them in Spanish why they entered. Alpha-1 responds by explaining. Ghost allows team to proceed but warns that others might attack.
Team proceeds down forward passage. A section of the floor is made of 8 large stone slabs arranged 2x4. Stands out from the rest of the floor. Floor slabs quickly slide into the wall revealing pit pit filled with grinding spiked bars. Alpha-1 almost falls into it. Trap cannot be avoided.
Team tries left passage, floor looks normal. Several meters in, large square section of floor suddenly opens dropping Alpha-1 and Charlie-3 into a large room sized pit. Metal panels slide over the hole closing it off. A sound is heard from them as they begin to lower. Panicked are heard over the radio as it is revealed that the panels just produced spikes on the underside. Both men are heard being crushed to death. Trap resets afterwards.
The other three hug the wall to avoid trap and continue down passage. Metal gates block the way. Time to try the right passage. Passage has long horizontal grooves that go along the walls. Old human bones found littering the floor but nothing happens. Team locates switch that opens gates at the end. Fast spinning blades pop out of the grooves and start sweeping the passage. Trap is avoided but Bravo-2 is killed as blades slice cleanly through body armor, flesh, and bone.
Team passes the floor trap and the open gates. Gates close behind them but can be opened with switch on this end. Passage turns right. Hidden pressure plates trigger hidden spears in the wall, impale Delta-4 then retract seconds later. Echo-5 decides to abort the mission and head back outside.
