Item #: SCP-4110
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures:
Experimentation with SCP-4110 is to be approved by no less than three Level 4 personnel.
SCP-4110 is to be contained in a 7 by 5-meter room resembling a child's bedroom. The typical furniture in a child's room should be present, such as a bed, dressers, and a chair (see a complete list in Addendum 1-A). Sheets on the bed should be changed bi-weekly or after experimentation. Security cameras are to be set up in the room, one in each corner. A door in one of the walls of the "bedroom" will lead to a larger 10 by 10-meter room, with cement walls, ceiling, and floor; although this has no effect on SCP-4110's abilities.
Caution should be taken while experimenting with SCP-4110 to avoid it "bonding" with any staff members. Experimentation should take no more than an hour.
Description:
SCP-4110 was found in the town of [DATA EXPUNGED] in 20██ after a large number of adults with young children in the town disappeared. SCP-4110 is an "imaginary friend" that will bond with anyone that shows affection towards it. To help in this process, SCP-4110 is able to "shape-shift" into anything that will attract a potential bond, whether it be an animal or a person. The copies made by SCP-4110 are flawless in detail. A complete testing log of all the forms taken by SCP-4110 can be found in Addendum 1-B. After the subject has bonded with SCP-4110, they will play various games together, regardless of the subject's age.
SCP-4110 is always invisible to everyone except the subject that has bonded with it, or SCP-4110-1, hence the name "imaginary friend". The subject will appear to be interacting with the air itself. SCP-4110 will never appear to anyone other than the subject except in very rare circumstances.
If anyone says out loud that SCP-4110 is "not real", then SCP-4110 will immediately leave whomever it has bonded with, regardless of how closely they've bonded. At this point, SCP-4110 will use its shapeshifting ability to shapeshift to whatever scares the victim, now known henceforth as SCP-4110-2. For instance, if SCP-4110-2 had a fear of spiders, SCP-4110 will take the form of a larger-than-life spider. SCP-4110 will chase the subject relentlessly in 100% of cases. When SCP-4110 catches up to SCP-4110-2, it will take its "true form" and ask SCP-4110-2 "Am I real now?" SCP-4110-2 is usually frightened enough that it will usually scream "yes" and beg for mercy. SCP-4110 will then discontinue its chase and return to where it was previously. In the rare event that SCP-4110-2 will not admit that SCP-4110 is real, SCP-4110 will violently attack and [DATA EXPUNGED] no remains of SCP-4110-2.
Addendum:
Addendum 1-A: More information on SCP-4110's quarters
In the center of the room, pushed against the wall, is a standard double bed. The sheets on it are to be changed bi-weekly to avoid confusing SCP-4110. The sheets should correlate with SCP-4110-1's interests.
Against the left wall is a bookshelf. Again, books should be changed periodically.
A dresser filled with some of SCP-4110-1's clothes is on the right wall.
Various posters or paintings should be placed on the walls.
The room's paint should be changed twice yearly.
Addendum 1-B: Testing log of SCP-4110
Test #1: D-38593 bonded with SCP-4110. D-class reported that "he [sic] shapeshifted into a little puppy! It was so cute!" SCP-4110 apparently played "fetch" with D-38593 for a while. D-class was instructed to leave SCP-4110 but expressed reluctance to do so. SCP-4110 apparently gave D-38593 "sad puppy eyes" but allowed her to leave.
Test #2: D-87476 bonded with SCP-4110. D-class expressed surprise at the appearance of SCP-4110, describing "her [sic]" as "a really hot girl with giant titties and a big ass. Did I mention she was naked?" (D-87476 was convicted of raping several women.) Surprisingly, SCP-4110 allowed D-87476 to have sexual intercourse with it. Footage from the cameras in the room show the appearance of SCP-4110.
Notes: "Who in the hell thought that 4110 would let this go on? I thought 4110 was a "teddy-bear cuddly" type of SCP, not "do whatever the fuck gets you a bond" SCP! -Dr. Chung
Test #3: D-49327 bonded with SCP-4110. SCP-4110 apparently took the form of a dog that D-49327 had when he was little. This was taken from an interview after the experiment: "I was wondering what form 4110 would take, but I didn't think I would see Lucky ever again. He was a great little dog." D-class reports that the dog that SCP-4110 impersonated acted exactly like his old dog did.
Incident 4110-4: D-01643 bonded with SCP-4110. A junior researcher was present at the scene learning about Euclid class SCPs and was not instructed about the invisible appearance of SCP-4110. When told that SCP-4110 was present, the junior researcher laughed and said, "What are you talking about? There's nothing there!" Alarms went off, indicating SCP-4110 had breached containment. The junior researcher began screaming, raving about zombies and dead corpses. When SCP-4110 caught up with the junior researcher, it became visible to everyone. The form SCP-4110 takes while attacking is that of an abnormally tall humanoid with arms that almost touch the floor. It wears a tattered top hat. The junior researcher escaped unharmed, luckily, but this was when SCP-4110's "other" ability was discovered.
Research has been temporarily suspended.
