Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently not contained; a search is currently being conducted in order to re-contain SCP-XXXX. When SCP-XXXX is eventually re-contained, it will be stored in a 4 metre by 3 metre by 2.5 metre concrete room. Due to its nature, SCP-XXXX is to have its bed-sheets and pillowcases replaced once every week, so as not to cause a breach in containment. If it doesn't have it's bed-sheets and pillowcases replaced within approximately 200 hours, SCP-XXXX will relocate to a bedroom within a 150 kilometre radius. If a breach does happen, MTF-Epsilon-6 (“Village Idiots”) is to be deployed to the multiple towns across a 150 kilometre radius around SCP-XXXX’s original containment area; Site-██. When SCP-XXXX breaches, it will be relocated to a bedroom in a town within a 150 metre radius and take on the appearance of another bed, making re-containment difficult to near impossible. Fortunately, every instance of SCP-XXXX is branded with the same name on one of the legs as “SweetDreams™”. Any victims of SCP-XXXX are to be announced dead or missing. Anyone who witnesses a victim of SCP-XXXX are to be apprehended and administered Class-A amnesics.
Testing of SCP-XXXX is to be approved by 2 personnel with Level-3 Clearance. Testing of SCP-XXXX is to be denied to prevent further breaches.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a king-size bed measuring 80 centimetres by 60 centimetres by 30-50 centimetres; the end of the bed can vary. It is usually made out of wood, although instances of steel bed frames are apparent.
SCP-XXXX was discovered when multiple disappearances happened in the course of 3 months. All disappearances happened during the night, while the victims were sleeping on similar to almost identical beds. This caught the Foundation’s attention, thus it was contained on █/██/19██ in Site-██, Canada.
By itself, SCP-XXXX's effect cannot be activated, it only does so as soon as a living being rests on top of the mattress. When one does so, SCP-XXXX first effect activates, causing mass fatigue in the subject. When the subject falls asleep, SCP-XXXX’s second effect is activated, causing the subject to not be awakened. If the said subject is forcibly removed from SCP-XXXX, they will immediately die from cardiac arrest. How this happens is currently unknown.
If the subject stays asleep for 4-5 hours, SCP-XXXX’s final effect activates, causing a tall, slim, shadowy figure to emerge from underneath, designated SCP-XXXX-02 respectfully. SCP-XXXX-02 will then drag the subject under the bed, causing them both to disappear. The subject does not die from cardiac arrest during this process. After a period of 2-4 minutes after a subject and SCP-XXXX-02 disappears, SCP-XXXX will then slowly disintegrate, leaving the bed-sheets, pillowcases and a fine dust, designated SCP-XXXX-03. The said dust has no current anomalous properties, further testing is being conducted on SCP-XXXX-03. SCP-XXXX will then be relocated to a bedroom, within a 150 kilometre radius.
