Item #: SCP-5001 "Metro to Oblivion"

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: A 0.8 kilometer exclusion zone is to be maintained around SCP-5001. If an animal or human enters the exclusion zone, they are to be terminated on sight, unless adequate equipment and precaution are taken to ensure that subject does not cause an inadvertent containment breach. When an experiment is conducted, Procedure-1512 Alka must be enacted, wherein, a minimum of six personnel must be assigned to the operation, two of which are required to wear the S7-V Mobile Protection System. Personnel are not allowed to remain with 30 meters of SCP-5001's entrance point for excess of 10 minutes. Should subject fail to report back to minimum safe distance, termination of such is to be effective immediate, regardless of occupation, as to not risk the uprising of SCP-5001-B.
If SCP-5001-B is to exit the exclusion zone, it is to be considered a containment breach, wherein Procedure-1513 Amko is to be applied immediately. 12 canisters of item designated Sarin are to be dropped from aircraft around the exclusion zones edge. This is known to either draw SCP-5001-B back into the zone for a prolonged time or incapacitate it all in all. Other means of containment have proven insufficient.

Description:
SCP-5001 is a metro located in ██████, ███████. It was discovered by the Foundation in 19██, after a several missing people reports were filed. Bodies were later discovered to have been stripped of matter, but skeletal structures remained intact and erect, seemingly done prior to death. When entering within 450 meters of SCP-5001, one will feel a minor sense of comfort, yet, simultaneously, an utter sense of dread, as if something fatal were about to happen. Personnel who have entered, and thereby survived, an encounter with SCP-5001 have reported seeing slight glimpses of a shadow-like entity, now identified as SCP-5001-B that is not hostile extremely hostile to any biotic or abiotic, and animate entity that remains within 30 meters of SCP-5001 for the excess of 10 minutes, wherein, it will proceed to [REDACTED] and take the form of said victim for approximately 15 minutes at most.

At the center of the exclusion zone, SCP-5001 resides. It is a breach in the ground that leads into what appear to be the ruins of an abandoned metro. Upon entering, the emotion of a perplexingly calming dread is increased by a moderate amount, which normally is enough to coax subject into removing themself from the area. However, if said subject enters, it has been reported that SCP-5001-B will seemingly immediately cease aggression for as long as they're in there. Another factor is that, regardless of prior time, subjects inside the ruins of SCP-5001 have also reported a time-change, with the time seen outside of the breach-point being of evening-time, as long as whatever outside seeming to have disappeared. It is currently unknown of SCP-5001's current expanse, merely that it has been reported to go on for a seemingly endless length, one of which that has not been reported by seismic scanners outside of SCP-5001. Oddly, there is also a second entrance to the metro, again, gone reported on the outside world, suggesting adverse, reality-altering effects. Personnel are not allowed to exit the metro via this method, as, upon exiting, personnel have been reported to exit into an apocalypse-style Earth, seemingly one that has fallen into nuclear war, as radiation levels are that similar to the after-effects of a 50 megaton warhead. Secondary reports of extremely hostile organisms, designated SCP-5001-2, residing outside of the exit, but are kept out of the area by SCP-5001-A, a humanoid organism that stands roughly 6,9", and wears garments that fitting to an apocalyptic scenario, accompanied with what appears to be a hand-crafted gas mask. Entity is described as having a masculine-sounding voice, but has refused to remove the mask when not speaking. Although this can be overcome by offering a substitute mask, being that of specifically black-colored cloth. After the following, SCP-5001-A is described as being compliant and very defensive when in the process of combatting SCP-5001-2, as well as somewhat comical, often makings jokes with Foundation personnel present in the area. SCP-5001-A has expressed formal dislike for his Foundation name, having the apparent legal name of "West". One should note that the canister on the front of his mask has a mind-altering effect that makes him, or anyone who has been exposed to the agent for more than five seconds, more cold and cynical for as long as they are exposed to it. While outside, he has displayed heavy pacifism and is unaware that he kills. Personnel are not to inform him of his ability to kill. West also has a seemingly self-applied nickname, often introducing himself to many "survivors" at the name of "The Grand Warden of Shitfuck", saying, and quoted: "People who are scared often feel better when there is someone around who is not. Or at least not openly scared."

On a note of concern, personnel must be alerted that West does possess armaments, being two, self-created incendiary devices, seemingly based of Great War era German flamethrowers, admittedly with a far greater power. When an assault on the metro is commenced, West is known to hand over one of the flamethrowers to the least armed person, and charge on to the exit of the metro. West is seemingly unaware of the second breach and has confessed to never having attempted leaving, mostly on accounts of SCP-5001-B, in which he has expressed extreme fear for, stating that it was the creature that started the Apocalypse. However, West is also aware that Foundation personnel are not from his world, which has perplexed some to his self-awareness. Should West leave the confines of the metro, he is to be terminated on sight, as him leaving the site seems to aggravate SCP-5001-B by an extreme amount, causing a major spike in radiation levels that begins to spread at a speed of 250 feet per second, but is easily reversible by returning West back into the metro, where he has expressed a desire to remain. While it is a very rare chance that West would decide to rise from the breach-point, the effect could end up resulting in an XK-Class End of The World scenario, as he has displayed very intuitive study to this creature and the ability to fend it off for extended time. For now, he seems to be the only thing stopping SCP-5001-B from venturing off into the rest of the world, seeming to hold a priority grudge against him.

Addendum:
West has, despite his outgoing personality after extended contact, emphasized that the Foundation should not have ever entered the metro, or even found it in the first place, seeming to have a heavy remorse for it happening, blaming himself for the casualties, confessing that the victim's deaths were at his own fault, having exited the metro to see what was outside of it for the first time. On this, psychologists present in the area have diagnosed West with severe depression, although, admittedly it was much to his tolerated dismay. Reconsiderations to his name have been cued and are still pending, noting that he is more or less human, aside from his apparent ability to repair himself via unknown means.
