Special Containment Procedures: Samples of SCP-4919 are to be kept in a room where the only Level 5 Clearance personnel are allowed to access it. Any unauthorized personnel purposely infecting themselves or attempting to take any samples away are to be immediately terminated.

Any areas that hold a presence of SCP-4919 are to be in a surveillance zone by the foundation immediately. If any organisms that are infected, or are assumed to be infected, happen to go out of the surveillance zone, they are to be detained for questioning and the surveillance zone will expand depending on how far the escapee has been away from it.

Description: SCP-4919 is a bacterial disease that is capable of cross-species infection, including plants. However, it does not kill its infectees but rather benefits them. It can be transmitted through bodily fluids and in rare cases of skin contact. It is not airborne but it is waterborne. However, SCP-4919 can survive in water for as long as one (1) minute minimum to two (2) hours maximum.

A human infected with SCP-4919 are to be referred to as SCP-4919-A. Symptoms occur within the first ten (10) minutes including:

  • Increased strength
  • Improved reaction response
  • Higher intelligence
  • Little to no sensitivity to pain

However, effects on non-human species seem to differ in disturbing ways.

If SCP-4919 infects a land animal it will be referred to as SCP-4919-B. SCP-4919-B's symptoms occur within two (2) hours, these symptoms are identical to SCP-4919-A. SCP-4919-B gains the ability to read, to write and speak fluently. If the subject is four-legged, it will begin to stand on its back legs. Three (3) hours after transmission, SCP-4919-B will begin to shed its hair and build muscle mass. If the subject happens to possess hooves, they become discarded and hands will quickly grow out to replace it. It takes approximately thirty (30) seconds for the hands to fully grow. However, the hands are unlike that of a human, with each finger measured about 15-17 cm (5.9-6.6 in) long. Fortunately, SCP-4919-B is not hostile towards humans.

A plant infected with SCP-4919 is referred to as SCP-4919-C
