SCP-XXXX when it is uncovered.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be highly fixed in a metal support to prevent the shattering of the object, covered with an opaque material and kept in a locked storage room at Site-19.
SCP-XXXX is to be uncovered only during tests and safety checks. No personnel are to pass trough the mirror or to insert body parts, with the exception of D-Class personnel undergoing tests. Safety checks are to be performed weekly to make sure the object does not present any cracks on the surface.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a wall mirror, two (2) by one (1) meters, with an ornamented wooden frame. If SCP-XXXX is fully covered with an opaque material, it does not present any anomalies.
Nevertheless the object's surface will change its density and aggregation state similar to water. As so, the reflective surface will change into opaque, gaining a [DATA EXPUNGED] color identical to deep water. Although its appearance is very similar to a liquid, test proved that samples can not be taken from the surface, keeping its shape. Objects, body parts and even subjects can pass the surface. In this instance, the subject will be sent into a dimension which represents a huge body, filled with water, without a bottom, designated SCP-XXXX-1.
Liquid samples were brought from SCP-XXXX-1 after Expedition A, revealing that the liquid has the same molecular structure as the water and the same physical properties unlike SCP-XXXX surface. The water's salinity is high, twenty six (26) ‰, indicating that SCP-XXXX-1 is an infinite ocean. SCP-XXXX-1 does not present any fauna or flora with the exception of a creature designated SCP-XXXX-2.
Little is known about SCP-XXXX-2 because of lack of the cameras and video footage as SCP-XXXX-2 appears on a person's peripheral vision. Although SCP-XXXX-2 is dangerous, complex containment procedures of SCP-XXXX are not required due to its behavior (See Expedition C).

Computer representation of SCP-XXXX-2 made by D-41414's description.

Document #XXXX-A: Expedition I

D-41414 is a 26 year old Caucasian male of strong build. Psychological background indicates a strong desire of suffocating people with [DATA EXPUNGED]. D-41414 is equipped with a diving suit, two O2 tanks with oxygen supply for 2 hours, a pair of flippers, a handheld camcorder fitted with a transmission stream, a beacon for tracking subject's position, an underwater scooter capable of lasting thirty (30) minutes, a sample bag and a headset for communication with Doctor █████████.

D-41414 introduces his arm trough SCP-XXXX. Subject hesitates to pass trough the object's surface.

D-41414: Doc, are you sure this is safe?
Dr. █████████: Please proceed trough the mirror.
D-41414: Doc, [pause] I don't want to go in there.
Dr. █████████: As our previous discussion, please proceed.

D-41414 proceeds trough the mirror. Subject's beacon indicates that he has entered SCP-XXXX-1. Camera feed shows an ocean without bottom or surface.

Dr. █████████: Please turn around.

Subject turns around, camera feed showing an oval shaped disc similar to SCP-XXXX surface presuming to be the other link point between SCP-XXXX-1 and the Control.

Dr. █████████: Please turn around one hundred degrees then travel two kilometers straight forward using your underwater scooter.

Subject uses his underwater scooter and crosses 1,07 kilometers. Subject begins to be agitated and stressed then stops.

Dr. █████████: Is there a reason you stopped?
D-41414: Doc, I think I saw something.
Dr. █████████: Can you describe it?
D-41414: It's a human with… [pause] two ugly eyes and a big mouth with teeth. I can't see him very well. He keeps appearing on my eye's corner for a short period of time.
Dr. █████████: Camera feed does not show the creature described.
