Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX should be held in a secure airtight container. Ensure that SCP-XXXX is empty prior to containment. Tests involving both SCP-XXXX and Class D personnel must take place within an airlocked facility.
In the event of a breach, personnel should identify the contents of SCP-XXXX immediately. SCP-XXXX can typically be contained by sealing all exits in an airtight manner, but additional measures may be required depending on its contents.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a watertight leather bag roughly the size of an adult human fist. The bag is closed via drawstring.
A subject who empties SCP-XXXX of its contents has their body converted into the contents previously held by SCP-XXXX. The volume of the subject's body is preserved by this transformation, but mass is not. Tests indicate that the converted matter is indistinguishable from the contents emptied out of SCP-XXXX.
While transformed, subjects are capable of self-directed movement. This movement appears to be dependent on both the surrounding environment and the substance into which the subject was transformed. See attached Test Summaries for further details.
The transformation has been observed to last anywhere from 1 to 4 hours, after which subjects revert to their previous state. Subjects report retaining all senses and full awareness during the transformation, even when converted into non-living substances such as water. In all cases, researchers were unable to locate SCP-XXXX while subjects were transformed, and SCP-XXXX was always found empty in the subject's possession following reversion.
SCP-XXXX Test Summaries:
Test Summary SCP-XXXX-TS7
Subject: Dr. ████████
Procedure: Subject emptied distilled water from SCP-XXXX in a standard laboratory.
Results: Subject transformed into water. Subject was capable of slow movement across level surfaces and swift movement down inclines. Subject exhibited ability to leverage capillary action and force their volume through minuscule openings.
Test Summary SCP-XXXX-TS8
Subject: Dr. ████████
Procedure: Subject emptied sand from SCP-XXXX in a standard laboratory.
Results: Subject transformed into sand. Subject was capable of quick movement in the form of a dust cloud driven by wind. No source of wind was present in the laboratory.
Test Summary SCP-XXXX-TS12
Subject: Class D personnel ███████ █████
Procedure: Subject instructed to empty distilled water from SCP-XXXX while inside a watertight container of bulletproof glass. Researchers then fired bullets into the transformed water.
Results: Subject was unharmed following reversion.
Test Summary SCP-XXXX-TS13
Subject: Class D personnel ██████ ██████
Procedure: Subject instructed to empty distilled water from SCP-XXXX while inside a watertight container. Researchers then divided subject's transformed volume into portions and separated them by a significant distance until reversion.
Results: [REDACTED].
Test Summary SCP-XXXX-TS19
Subject: Dr. █████
Procedure: Subject emptied a single bumblebee (Bombus fraternus) from SCP-XXXX in a standard laboratory.
Results: Subject transformed into a swarm of identical bees. Subject was capable of swarm action but demonstrated no control over individual insects.
Test Summary SCP-XXXX-TS21
Subject: Class D personnel █████ ████████ and ███ ████
Procedure: Subjects instructed to jointly empty distilled water from SCP-XXXX while inside a watertight container.
Results: Following reversion, [REDACTED].
Test Summary SCP-XXXX-TS28
Subject: Class D personnel █████████ █████
Procedure: Researchers placed a hummingbird (Selasphorus sasin) and a small quantity of the subject's flesh inside SCP-XXXX. Subject instructed to empty contents from SCP-XXXX while inside an airlocked containment unit.
Results: Subject transformed into a charm of hummingbirds, but with [REDACTED].
