SCP-9989 - The Black Scorpion Project 2
Description: The massive figure, just recognizable as a humanoid, dangles from the grappling hook that held the only seemingly unholy fusion reactor that was ever to emerge from what was the gigantic Exalted Flame. It is unique among the Black Scorpions. It's this particular brand of leadership that the creature seems to lack and it's the death and destruction that it has caused on so many worlds that worries the Tishipan. The Black Scorpion that is shrouded in flame is too pale to be to be its human form. Some Imperial scholars speculate that it is merely an avatar.
Notes: This chapter was originally known as Scales and Ideals. The Mutation's gave it the name, the Scorpion before its mutation into the Terminators. A mention of the Beyonder never quite made it into the revised variant.
Inquisitor Eva-9
Description: Eva-9's armor remains largely unchanged over the centuries. The only notable change is that the quinjet engines on her back have been replaced by powerlinked plasma, like the rest of the rest of the guard. She bears the air of a military officer yet she is not to be outdone.
Inquisitor Eva-9's battle suit features a cloaking field which makes it impossible for electronic sensors to pick up her movements from afar. All battle suits are effectively silent apart from the sound of approaching massed light vehicles.
Notes: These soldiers saw action in the Gathering Storm book as well as a detailed campaign in the Horus Heresy book. Though her suit appeared simple and armored, it was actually the piloting by the inquisitor Eva-9 that put her in the hot seat of the Golden Throne.
The Inquisitor The Necrophiliac or the Space Wolves Of Winter's Edge
Description: These same inquisitors were seen a number of times within the mists of the Forgotten Mars Campaign. Adepts from the Inquisitorial Orders of the Adeptus Astartes display nothing but brutality and brutality towards their enemies. These Inquisitors are often among the very first to take to the hunt when most of the regiment is gathered together for realspace operation.
Notes: There are three chapters (the Inquisitors) that these inquisitors belonged to in particular. The Tishipan among them:
The Inquisitors and the Psykana Within
Inevitable Spirits
Notes: In this case, the inquisitors and the Psykana within are these inquisitors of the Inquisitorial Orders of the Adeptus Astartes.
Inevitable Spirits
Inquisitors called to this place were soldiers of the Holy Ordos of Mystra, who travelled across the galaxy in search of any vile traitor. When they found the warp-fuelled Cathar Reaver Praxagora feeding upon the souls of human and daemons alike, the six inquisitors sent by the God-Emperor gathered together to face this threat.
As the storm neared its most destructive point, the Inquisition sent out an expedition to Praxagora's space station. There they encountered an innocent man who they thought to be a civilian, only for the Inquisitor's light vehicles to cut down the innocent man and take him aboard Praxagora's beacon ship. The Inquisitor poured through the corporeal and metaphysical to find this man. What he found there has since remained a puzzle to the order.
Loyalist Commissar Pundix
Description: A Commissar is one of the lowest ranks of the Adeptus Astartes. A Commissar is issued a suit of Power Armour designed to be as personal as his Primarch. Those who have served in Commissars positions throughout the Astartes are given a special icon of the Aethyr upon their breastplate, to mark them as an Ordos-Signus.
Though most of the legendary warriors of the Imperium are housed within the organisations of the Adeptus Arbites, there are also a small number of them who are stationed in less-established regiments like those of the Segmentum Tempestus. The latter are commonly referred to as Space Marine Knights and can have ranks like those of the Chapter which they serve. All Commissars are armed with the Mark of the Aethyr as a mark of recognition for their incredible commitment to the Emperor.
Notes: Since the time of the Emperor Heresy, an increasing number of Ordos-Signus were housed within the ranks of the Imperial military and now form the backbone of the Imperium's defences. These Ordos-Signus constitute the majority of its troops, and their ranks are known as Space Marine Knights. One such knight is that of Chapter Master Pundix, whose badge (which can be found at the right-hand of his armour) is that of a Mark of the Aethyr.
Outposts of the Inquisition
Operation Carrion Claw, 1340.M41.
Note: The Commanders of the Imperial Guard's Operation Carrion Claw, as well as most of the Loyalist officers of the Crusade Legions, have been prominent members of the Inquisition. By all accounts, these crusading Masters of the Administratum are the best orderlies, oracle-priests, or bannerets of the Imperium's hostile spaces and the most ardent pursuers of the Emperor's enemies. They are the equivalent of a Salamanders sergeant in a Space Marine chapter.
Note: A Regimental Standard is a sign of rank issued to non-commissioned Space Marines within a Crusade Legion as a symbolic reminder of their place at the Emperor's side. In many instances these standard bearers (typically referred to as "Scribes" or "Seamen") represent the lowest ranks of the Imperium's religious hierarchy.
Notes: Through the centuries, the Inquisition has carried out over one hundred investigations into the allegations of corruption within the Inquisition. Though the Inquisition and its managers frequently proclaim that every allegation is investigated.
