Special Containment Procedures: All maps containing SCP-XXXX are to confiscated and replaced with the foundation's. All paths leading towards SCP-XXXX are to be blocked off. SCP-XXXX is to guarded by no less than three guards at all times following incident XXXX-A. No one, under any circumstance, outside of the foundation is to be allowed within 20 meters of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX is to be surrounded by a 4 meter tall concrete wall. Any marks no matter how small found on the wall are to be reported immediately. The depth of SCP-XXXX-01 is to be measured everyday. If the depth of SCP-XXXX-01 is close to or is 13 cm deep the area surrounding SCP-XXXX is to be put on alert, anyone stationed inside SCP-XXXX is to removed immediately. All instances of SCP-XXXX-03 are not to be approached and are to be terminated on site.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an 8km x 8km area in ████████ National Park. The area encompassed by SCP-XXXX is under constant snowfall and has a constant temperature 273°K. The snow on the ground of SCP-XXXX named SCP-XXXX-01 appears to never fall outside the 80m by 80m area. This area is mostly barren with the exception of a few trees as well as a wooden cabin refered to as SCP-XXXX-02. The only other entity present in SCP-XXXX is a large number of creatures that emerge from SCP-XXXX-01 called SCP-XXXX-03. SCP-XXXX-03 appears to manifest on an irregular schedule from anywhere inside the area. The snowfall appears to go all the way up through the earth atmosphere even though there is no presence of clouds anywhere in SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX does not appear to be affected by the weather of the surrounding area. Any attempts to heat up the area inside SCP-XXXX have failed.

Any attempts to bring SCP-XXXX-01 have failed resulting in SCP-XXXX-01 evaporating at a rapid rate disappearing in almost a second¹. SCP-XXXX-01 appears have depth ranging from 2 cm to 13 cm. After reaching 13 cm deep a load rumbling is heard admitting from SCP-XXXX before SCP-XXXX-01 drops back down to 2 cm. This is due to multiple sinkholes opening up throughout SCP-XXXX causing SCP-XXXX-01 and anything near the holes to fall down. The sinkholes appear to crush anything that falls into them causing death almost instantly². The sinkholes that open up of seem to have any affect on the ground underneath SCP-XXXX and only affects the surface as anything underneath the surface of the earth will not be affected after the holes have closed. The sinkholes will also never appear under SCP-XXXX-02.

SCP-XXXX-02 appears to be that of a standard wooden cabin 3m by 3m and 4 meters tall at its highest point. The top of SCP-XXXX-02 is covered with SCP-XXXX-01 with a depth matching that of SCP-XXXX-01 on the ground. SCP-XXXX-02 appears to be run down and abandoned, despite this the interior is fully furnished and clean. Inside SCP-XXXX-02 there is a circular wooden with two wooden chairs, a wooden dresser, a bed frame and mattress from the ██████ company, and a brick fireplace and chimney. A leather bond journal was found inside SCP-XXXX-02 belonging to Jim Martin. Any changes to the interior of this cabin are reversed within the week it is changed. However, some changes do stay after the week. The interior of SCP-XXXX-02 is lit by the fireplace and an oil lamp. Despite the fact that there is no visible chimney from the outside of SCP-XXXX-02 the smoke produced by the fireplace does not enter into the main part of the cabin and leaves through a hole only present from the inside. The interior of SCP-XXXX-02 is the only location in SCP-XXXX that is above 273°K reaching a max of 293°K. The heat appears to come from the fireplace and any attempts to heat SCP-XXXX-02 from anywhere inside have failed.

SCP-XXXX-03 manifests as many variants of arctic animals including vulpes lagopus, lepus arcticus and bubo scandiacus³. Although these creatures appear to be passive anyone in a 1 meter radius of SCP-XXXX-03 is mauled and devoured by the entities⁴. SCP-XXXX-03 will always try to escape the confines of SCP-XXXX and will later return with berries and other animals before burring themselves back into SCP-XXXX-01. Upon termination of SCP-XXXX-03 the entity dissolves back into a substance similar to that of SCP-XXXX-01. This has lead the foundation to believe that when instances of SCP-XXXX-03 are created SCP-XXXX-01 is turned into organic matter as long as the entity is living.

SCP-XXXX is responsible for the disappearance of Jim Martin. It is believed that he had found his way to SCP-XXXX and had decided to live inside SCP-XXXX-02. While living inside SCP-XXXX he had written a journal which was later found by foundation personal. Evidence has shown that Jim Martin had been crushed in one of SCP-XXXX's sinkholes, how long he has been dead is uncertain. Belong is a few exerts from Jim Martin's journal.

May 26th 1989: So I found this really odd place while visiting ████████. It just keeps snowing here and it's the end of May how the hell does that work. Well I think I might check this place out it's really weird.

June 13th 1989: So I packed all my stuff and I'm ready to check this place out. I've packed my books and I found a nice tent at the local store. I think it might be a good idea to bring a winter jacket and some boots. I got a couple weird looks bringing a winter coat into the park at this time of the year but I'm ready to go.

June 14th 1989: I'm really glad I brought my coat it's really cold out here. Also I don't see any clouds how is it snowing this is so weird. First night wasn't too bad just a little cold luckily I had a really good sleeping bag, that really helped with the cold.

June 18th 1989: So I was walking around the area and I found a cabin. This is great I don't have to worry about the stupid cold anymore. It was nice and warm inside thanks to the fire place at the back of the cabin. But I was a little confused because I don't remember a chimney outside the cabin must have been my imagination.

June 20th 1989: So I couldn't sleep so well last night, there was a really loud noise from out side the cabin. It kinda spooked me because it was right outside the cabin but when I looked outside there was nothing. It does feel as if the snow melted overnight which is odd because it's still snowing. Besides that I think I saw an animal over by a tree today.

July 15th 1989: So I'm starting to run out of food and I don't see any sort of berries around here. I like I'll start hunting the foxes and rabbits in the area. They're pretty small but it'll do and I don't want to leave the area to find a store or find larger animals because I want to keep this place a secret.

July 17th 1989: Ok so hunting was a really bad idea. I shot a fox earlier and it turned back into snow how am I supposed to get food without leaving. If I find a way to soon to get food I'll stay but I might have to leave the area.

July 18th 1989: So I tried hunting again and the same thing happened, all the animals I shot turned into snow. However, this time it got the attention of the other animals in the area and I don't they liked it too much when I started shooting. I really need food soon or else I might starve.

July 19th 1989: I've messed up big time. I tried to get close to the animals and they all attacked me. My leg is messed really badly and my chest is all scratched up. I really need to get out of here but my leg is badly damaged. Hopefully someone comes by this area but it was pretty far away from the normal places to hike in the park so I think I'll try to find a way out tomorrow.

July 20th 1989: So I'm going to leave this area today. I'm gonna leave my journal in the cabin in case I don't make it out of this place. I hope that if anyone finds this they can find me if I haven't made it out.

Jim Martin's body was found on ██/██/20██ after the foundation had gained information on SCP-XXXX. His body was found 3 meters below ground leading us to believe that Jim Martin was crushed by one of the of the sinkholes created by SCP-XXXX. Anyone related to Jim Martin was told he died in a car accident near ████████ National Park on July 21st 1989. Anyone that believes otherwise is to be given amnestics and retold the cover up story.

Incident XXXX-A
Incident XXXX-A was an event that happened on ██/██/20██ at ██:██. The incident had occurred when two guards patrolling SCP-XXXX had encountered an instance of SCP-XXXX-03 shaped as a lepus arcticus. The incident had resulted in the death of Guard Alpha-A. The following log was taken from the body cameras of Guard Alpha-A and Guard Alpha-D during the incident.

Silence is heard as Guard Alpha-A and Alpha-D start their daily perimeter search

Guard Alpha-D: Damn is so cold out here. Why can't they give us better coats

Guard Alpha-A: Oh shut up this will only take about a half hour then we can go back to the outpost

Alpha-D: There's never anything out here why do we have to do this everyday

Alpha-A: That's because it was an order and faster you shut up the faster we can get back

15 minutes pass as they contain their search

movement is seen about 5 meters in front of them

Alpha-A: Hey stay on alert I think I see something

Alpha-D: Got it

Alpha-A and Alpha-D move closer to investigate the movement

Alpha-D: Is that a [EXPLICIT] rabbit, nothing interesting ever happens around here

Alpha-A: Well it's not a threat so let's just get it off this area

Guard Alpha-A moves closer to remove the rabbit

As Alpha-A moves closer the rabbit starts to twitch and foams at the mouth

Alpha-D: Hey I don't think rabbits are supposed to do that

Alpha-A: Its probably just nervous calm down whats the worst it could do, its just a rabbit

As Alpha-A is 1 meter away the rabbit jumps towards Alpha-A appearing to be aiming for his throat

Alpha-D: JESUS [EXPLICIT] CHRIST

Screaming is heard from Alpha-A as he tries to remove the rabbit off his face and neck

Alpha-A: HURRY UP AND SHOT THE DAMN THING

Alpha-D: I'M TRYING MY HANDS ARE [EXPLICIT] FREEZING

Gunshots are heard as the rabbit is hit twice by Alpha-D

Alpha-D: IT DIDN'T WORK

Alpha-A: KEEP SHOOTING

Alpha-A drops to the ground creating a large pool of blood around his head

More gunshots are heard as Alpha-D continues to shot at the rabbit until it is stopped moving

Alpha-D heads back to the outpost to retrieve medical help

Foundation Medics arrive shortly later a carry Guard Alpha-A's body to the nearest foundation medical facility where he was pronounced dead on arrival

Guard Alpha-A's face was unrecognizable due a massive amount of scratching and gnawing, however the cause of death was due to both carotid arteries being severed in half

Guard Alpha-D is currently undergoing emotional therapy due to the trauma caused by this incident

Following this Event any and all living creatures found within SCP-XXXX have been resigned to the designation SCP-XXXX-03. Any instance of SCP-XXXX-03 is to terminated on site immediately to prevent any further death.

An instance of SCP-XXXX produced by G.O.I-5467

Special Containment Procedures: Any instance of SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a flame retardant bag and placed inside secure a item containment locker. All Marlboro brand cigarettes are to be examined by foundation personal before shipment to prevent the spread of SCP-XXXX. All SCP-XXXX-01 instances are to be contained in non organic jars and placed in a secure item containment locker. Any new instances of SCP-XXXX are to be contained as soon as discovered.

Description: SCP-XXXX is the designation given to an unknown number of Marlboro cigarette packs produced by the Anti-Criminal Society or A.C.S⁵. The packs are designed to be identical to an official Marlboro pack of cigarettes. SCP-XXXX appears to be non-anomalous until a cigarette is lit from the pack. Upon lighting the cigarette a black viscous tar designated as SCP-XXXX-01 oozes out from booth ends of SCP-XXXX. When SCP-XXXX-01 comes into contact with any living organic matter it starts to dissolve the matter similar to that of H₂SO₄⁶ or other strong acids. This process takes an average of three minutes to dissolve an average full grown male human.

Addendum:

Discovery Log: SCP-XXXX was discovered on March 3rd 2016 after the disappearance of Researcher Kevin. Below is a transcription taken from the courtyard security camera at Site-98.

*14:12 03/03/2016*: Researcher Kevin is seen entering the Site-98 courtyard and proceeds to sit on the bench next to the entrance. After eating his lunch provided by the site cafeteria, Researcher Kevin removes from his pocket a pack of Marlboro cigarettes⁷ and a lighter. After lighting a cigarette from his pack he is immediately engulfed in a black tar. Researcher Kevin begins to struggle as he attempts to remove the tar⁸. Around this time foundation staff begin to report screaming from the courtyard. After approximately a minute of struggling Researcher Kevin stops all movement and lies limp on the ground.

*14:15 03/03/2016*: After multiple complaints of screaming the onsite security personal and dispatched to investigate the courtyard. Upon arrival a mass of black tar is found in middle of the walkway where Researcher Kevin had stopped moving. After investigating the area, security personal report the Researcher Kevin is missing, there is small damage to a near by tree in the courtyard, and the only other objects found in the courtyard are a pack of Marlboro cigarettes and a lighter belonging to Researcher Kevin. Both objects and the tar are confiscated and are sent in for testing.

After testing the pack of cigarettes was found to be anomalous and thus was designated as SCP-XXXX. The tar found on the floor was found to be a byproduct of SCP-XXXX and is now designated as SCP-XXXX-01. After trace amounts of Researcher Kevin's DNA was found inside SCP-XXXX-01 Researcher Kevin was pronounced dead.

Recovery: Following the event on March 3rd 2016 SCP-XXXX was traced back to a distribution service located at 16 Bridgewater St, Brooklyn, NY. Mobile Task Force Pi-1 "City Slickers" was dispatched to distribution service.

After investigating the distribution building seven more instances of SCP-XXXX were discovered. In the back office of the build MTF Pi-1 discovered Morgan Scott⁹ and has been sent in for interrogation. Inside POI-5467's deck a letter was discovered by MTF Pi-1's commander, below is a copy of said letter.
