Item: SCP-4043

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4043 is to be given a three room standard humanoid containment cell. The first of these rooms (by request of SCP-4043) is not to have any windows and is to be completely light proof. This room is to be fitted with standard dark room equipment for the process of developing film (SCP-4043 before containment was an avid photographer) SCP-4043 is allowed up to five (5) rolls of medium format 120 film and six (6) rolls of standard 35mm film per month as requested. SCP-4043 is allowed to keep its three cameras which it came into foundation custody with (designated SCP-4043-1, SCP-4043-2, and SCP-4043-3) along with a fourth camera with no SCP designation, given as a Christmas gift to SCP-4043 by Dr. Rights. The second of these rooms is to be equipped with adequate photographic studio lighting equipment along with one (1) computer fitted with standard photo editing software (SCP-4043has stated on multiple occasions that it prefers to shoot on film as opposed to digital, although, two out of the three cameras SCP-4043 came into custody with, are indeed, both very high quality digital cameras. in it's own words, SCP-4043 has said that film is "easier to see through"). The last of these three rooms is to be furnished with whatever amenities SCP-4043 may request as long as the requests are within standard foundation protocols. SCP-4043 is to be given two hundred and twenty five (225) milligrams of Lamotrigine once per day in the morning, along with fifty (50) milligrams of Dicyclomine and fifty (50) milligrams of Propranolol as needed. Due to a repeated string of good behavior while at the foundation, SCP-4043 is allowed to freely walk among the upper floors of Site-██ as it pleases. It is to wear a tracking anklet at all times to ensure its presence within Site-██. SCP-4043 has not at any point during it's time in foundation custody displayed any desire to leave. In fact, SCP-4043 has shown to be very helpful and amiable with foundation staff on many occasions, using its abilities to help locate possible anomalies and missing SCP objects. Therefore, it has been given a Safe Classification

Description: Formally [DATA REDACTED], SCP-4043 is a human male approximately 18 years of age and is of Sicilian and Irish descent. SCP-4043 has three tattoos strewn across its arms; these tattoos are as follows, "Memento Mori" written along the outside of its right forearm, "Veni Vidi Vici" written along the inside of its left forearm, and finally, a swallow with the word "Fernweh" on its left shoulder. The entity does not carry any physical anomalous properties, and shows strength and stamina expected for a healthy, young, human male. SCP-4043 suffers from several neurological disorders, most presently, severe anxiety, depression, and high functioning autism. Medical records do indeed show that SCP-4043 was formally diagnosed with these conditions at different points in its life before being taken into foundation custody. SCP-4043 also shows signs of several physical abnormalities such as mild arthritis and tendonitis within its right ankle, along with moderate to severe IBS.
SCP-4043 has the ability to view, describe, and interact with any point in space at any point in time via written coordinates, a written location, or a photograph (note, the location and/or coordinates do not need to be disclosed to SCP-4043 for it to exhibit its anomalous properties. When asked, it has indeed confirmed that this ability is partially what sparked its interest in photography, stating "I can relive great memories as many times as I want") SCP-4043 also has shown the ability to see the locations specific objects and/or entities and has demonstrated this ability with approximately 60% accuracy and/or knowledge of the target given. When asked about the origin of this ability, it is incapable of a response other than "it came naturally to me". SCP-4043's abilities are currently being used by foundation researchers to gain intelligence on foundation enemies along with the history of several SCP objects and anomalous events. SCP-4043 has expressed that it will gladly demonstrate it's ability to anyone provided it is "respected". If someone is to directly doubt its ability, the subject will become agitated and will refuse to speak or demonstrate its ability further. It is advised that should this occur, SCP-4043 should be quietly escorted to its cell and be left on its own and not to be spoken until it has regained its composure once again.

TEST LOG: The following is a log of several experiments performed shortly after SCP-4043's arrival at the foundation to see the extent and accuracy of its abilities.

TEST ONE
Location written: Foundation Site-19
Time written: Present day (11/1/16) at 2:00 PM (The time this test was performed was 2:15 PM on 11/1/16)
Test Proctor: Dr. ██████
Protocol: Location was sealed in an opaque envelope and was kept in Dr. ██████'s pocket the entire time. At no point did the location come into the sight of SCP-4043
Results: SCP-4043 began to describe a "large rectangular structure" and that there were "unknown objects inside" and "a potential to cause catastrophic damage should these objects be released". How SCP-4043 was able to view into what could have been Site-19 is up for debate and is unknown at the time of writing.

TEST TWO
Location written: The Moon
Time written: two million years ago
Test Proctors: Dr. ██████ and Dr. Gears
Protocol: Location was written down by Dr. ██████, sealed in an opaque envelope and given to Dr. Gears. At no point did the location come into the sight of SCP-4043.
Results: SCP-4043 described an "unfamiliar landscape" with huge volcanoes and large rivers of flowing lava.

TEST THREE (Note, an explicit location was never given to SCP-4043 during this test. Merely coordinates)
Coordinates written: 35.6895° N, 139.6917° E (Tokyo Japan)
Time written: 3:45 PM on the twelfth of December 20██
Test Procter: Researcher William ██████
Protocol: Coordinates and timestamp were written down, placed in an opaque envelope and placed in the shirt pocket of Researcher ██████. Coordinates were kept out of sight of SCP-4043 at all times throughout this test.
Results: SCP-4043 began to show confusion. When asked what it was seeing, SCP-4043 responded with the following, "Wherever this is, it's extremely busy. There is too much going on. I can't focus"

Researcher's note: It appears SCP-4043's abilities can be affected by how crowded and fast paced a location is. Studies of this are ongoing.

TEST FOUR
Location written: Dr. Clef's lost wallet.
Time written: Yesterday (10-31-2016) 6:25 AM
Protocol: Location was written down and placed by Dr. Clef into his left back pocket. Location was concealed from SCP-4043 during the entire test.
Results: SCP-4043 chuckled. When asked what he saw, he looked at Dr. Clef and proceeded to tell him that his lost wallet was under his bed.

Doctor's note: So that's where it went… huh…

NOTE FROM O5-3: SCP-4043 IS NOT A TOY TO BE USED TO FIND LOST ITEMS. SCP-4043'S ABILITIES ARE EXTREMELY USEFUL AND SHOULD BE USED TO FURTHER FOUNDATION RESEARCH AND NOTHING ELSE. ANY MISUSE OF SCP-4043'S ABILITIES WILL BE MET WITH IMMEDIATE DEMOTION.
~ O5-3

TEST FIVE
Location written: Dr. Rights' office.
Time written: 12/3/2016 at 3:00 PM
Test Proctors: Dr. Rights and Dr. Gears
Protocol: On 12/1/2016 at 6:00 AM, Dr. Rights was given instructions by Dr. Gears to remove all documents, computers, and her chair from her office on 12/3/2016 to which she complied. The location and time was written down by Dr. Gears, placed into an opaque envelope and was given to Dr. Rights who placed it in her shirt pocket. At no point did the location or time come within the sight of SCP-4043.
Results: SCP-4043 shrugged its shoulders and proceeded to tell the two doctors that it "Got nothing except for an empty room".

Doctor's note: It appears that SCP-4043's anomalous properties can indeed see into the future. How far it can see is yet to be determined
~ Dr. Gears

RECOVERY LOG: While on a vacation to Manhattan NY, Agent Ryan Montag witnessed a news broadcast about a teenage boy who apparently won the lottery several times within a six month period. Agent Montag contacted other foundation field agents within the area to report a potential anomaly. After extensive research, They eventually found SCP-4043 living in a small ranch house on Long Island with the rest of its family. When pressed, SCP-4043 did confess to using his abilities to figure out where the winning lottery tickets were located and where the next ones were going to show up. The subject's family was indeed well aware of the abilities that SCP-4043 possessed and were at that point living on the money that they received from the lottery. The entity did agreed to come into custody quietly, save that its parents would be allowed to know what happened to it and that it would get to take its cameras. These measures were agreed to and SCP-4043 was brought into custody without incident.
