Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5171 Is to be kept in a compost bin at all times. If SCP-5171 Is taken out of Its compost bin all Site staff are to Immediately evacuate the Site until MTF Theta-4 ("Gardeners") can stop the bananas or can confirm it stopped.

Description: SCP-5171 Is a Banana approximately 1 foot long, and the width of a regular banana, when SCP-5171 is removed from SCP-5171-1 it appears that it will infinitely produce bananas till it fills up a room or building completely or until there isn't room for anymore bananas to go, it possesses the following anomalous traits:

• begins screaming when held for 2 minutes and will continue until set back down.¹.
• Begins multiplying when taken out of compost bin at a exceptionally quick rate.
• Will continuously make bananas till there is no more room for bananas to fill.

SCP-5171-1 is the designation given to the compost bin that SCP-5171 is held in and appears to be the only thing that is capable of holding SCP-5171 without its anomalous abilities taking place.

Discovery: SCP-5171 was discovered when the town of ███████² in Canada in ██████ Mountain (See Addendum 5171-03 for a list of other items that were found) when Site-██ lost contact with agents³ embedded in the towns emergency services. after sending in a MTF to locate the agents that's when SCP-5171 was discovered. On 4/7/19██ during Investigation of SCP-5171 Junior Researcher █████ ███████ removed SCP-5171 from SCP-5171-1 and that's when Incident-5171-01 took place. (see Incident log 5171-01)

Addendum 5171-02

On 4/7/19██ SCP-5171 caused a full Site Containment breach killing ██ nonessential Site Staff ██ Guards ██ Scientists and 1 SCP, overall ██% of all onsite staff were reported dead and the other ██% were either not onsite at the time or where above ground at the time of the Breach, listed below is from a above ground security camera and a camera in Site-██s cafeteria:

The following is from the above ground security camera.

12:43:05: taken 16 seconds before the full site breach.
12:43:21: 16 seconds later ground begins shaking slightly.
12:43:32: Ground starts shaking worse than before and a guard outside falls over.
12:44:00: 30 seconds after the ground near where the guard previously mentioned had fell it begins to crack quickly and bananas start seeping through quickly, upon seeing this the guard activates the site alarm and runs away from the bananas.
12:44:20: 20 seconds after the guard moved away from the bananas they begin to quickly compost.

the next footage is from inside Site-██ cafeteria.

12:43:05: taken 16 seconds before the breach.
12:43:28: the ground in the cafeteria begins shaking causing many staff to fall over, a second later the ground begins to crack with the cracks getting bigger and bananas start seeping through.
12:43:30: Staff in cafeteria attempt to leave but the amount of bananas that are being produced makes it impossible to escape.
12:4?:??: Camera continues running for an unknown amount of seconds before the screen goes yellow and then goes black.

Advanced Containment Chamber 2x	A containment chamber made of 8 materials and 3 items/unknown items including: Titanium, Lead lined door, SCP-447 lining the titanium and lead (it appears that this SCP-447 was mixed with ████████), 60 10500 lumens automatically enabled lights both inside and outside the chamber, an unknown material consisting of █████, the second chamber had: trigger activated automatic tranquilizer darts laced with █████, [DATA EXPUNGED], [DATA EXPUNGED], [DATA EXPUNGED], [DATA EXPUNGED].

Following this Senior Researcher ████ ███ who was the only one who was inside the site to survive the Breach⁴ besides the above ground personnel formally requested that SCP-5171 be reclassified to Thamuiel stating:

Imagine if this SCP was captured by say ███████ ██████ and ████? or a worse GOI, if it got into the hands of someone who was either stupid or against the Foundation and they activated it above ground, that could cause an XK-Class-End-Of-The-World Scenario or worse the entire universe being filled with bananas! request pending.

2. Investigation into the town showed no history of it ever existing and no history of Site-██ ever having the agents implemented in the towns emergency services.

3. These agents bodies where found and matched the identities of Agent █████████ ████████, Agent █████ ████, and Agent ████ █████ however they were in different towns not near this one.

4. Investigation on how the Researcher survived is ongoing.
