Item#: SCP-???
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-??? is to be contained under the purview of Site ██, located north of ████████, Iceland. A perimeter is to be maintained approximately 100 meters around SCP-??? using chainlink fence and security cameras. Personnel are to redirect civilian hikers from the area, but Class-A amnestics are authorized for use on civilians who achieve visual confirmation of SCP-???'s existence.
Description: SCP-??? is a large tree, believed to be of the species Taxus baccata. Despite its location in northern Iceland, normally inhospitable to the growth of trees excepting birch and aspen, SCP-??? has grown to a considerable height, measuring approximately 30 meters tall with a diameter of 5 meters.
SCP-??? displays no outward signs of anomalous behavior other than its exceptional size. However, testing has demonstrated that SCP-??? is incorporeal. Attempts to collect the leaves or branches of SCP-??? have shown that researchers are unable to interact with SCP-??? in any direct or physical manner.
Walking through SCP-??? will transport the subject into a forest, populated with identical copies of SCP-???. It is currently believed that this forest, subsequently referred to as SCP-???a, serves as an interdimenional hub between other realities. Each specimen of SCP-??? within SCP-???a is linked to its own alternate reality. Walking back through the SCP-??? associated with our own dimension will return the subject to the hill, but walking through another specimen of SCP-??? will transport the subject to an alternate reality.
Exploration of alternate realities within SCP-???a has been authorized, with personnel operating out of Site ██ until a permanent base of operations can be constructed outside of SCP-???.
Addendum ???-01: Due to SCP-???'s location in what is now a UNESCO World Heritage site, increased levels of personnel, in addition to a rotating surveillance team, have been assigned to SCP-??? to prevent its accidental discovery by lost tourists.
Addendum ???-02: Following an attempt by the Serpent's Hand to access SCP-??? on ██-██-██, the construction of hidden watchtowers has been authorized along the established perimeter.
Addendum ???-03: Upon closer inspection, runes resembling a dialect of Elder Futhark have been identified. Attempts at translation are currently ongoing.
Exploration Log ???-01
Opening Statement: Exploratory Mission ???-01 was authorized on 08-21-██ by Site Director Emerson to begin on 10-23-██. A team of four personnel, led by Captain Saxton, entered SCP-??? with the goal of discovering suitable dimensions for potential Foundation use.

Identifying as Captain Saxton, leading the expedition into SCP-???. With me are Mertens, Howes, and Ressler. I have just been informed that we are apparently walking into a tree.

(whispered)
So, one of my buddies back at Site ██ told me that the Foundation doesn't really bother checking the mission logs unless something happens. If anyone is listening, hello. Apparently we're looking into a missing child case caused by SCP-???. Do you think we'll have succeeded by the time that this log gets back to the Foundation?
(indistinguishable chatter can be overheard)
Ressler, put that thing down!
(a sigh)
Fine, fine. I see that we're taking things seriously then.

Pre-missions checkup. All equipment and personnel are accounted for. We are about to enter the tree.<End Log, 08:15>
Mission Log, Audio Transcript from Captain Saxton: 10-23-██
<Begin Log, 08:23>
We have reached the other side of SCP-???. Nothing major to report. No signs of danger or life, hostile or otherwise.(dry) We are also surrounded by trees.
Howes is setting up a beacon so we can find our way back to the home tree. It looks exactly the same as the rest of them, so here's to hoping that we get back to the right universe after all is said and done.

Mission Log, Written Statement from Field Researcher Howes: 10-23-██
<Begin Log, 15:09>
So many identical versions of the tree. I wonder how that's even possible? By the no cloning theorem alone, this forest shouldn't exist, but I guess SCPs are, by definition anomalous. They don't really jive well with the laws of reality.
Wish I remembered to bring my own set of research equipment. The standard ones are kind of icky, You can never tell what other people have done with them.
