You know what, I'm just gonna write down ideas and reflect until I find one that suits my needs.
Okay, gosh, first idea. Ummmmm. I had this idea for some snails based off of those medieval pictures of knights fighting snails. It was a pretty lame idea. Didn't know where to go with it that didn't feel lame.
Was gonna write a Parawatch article about making box forts at the playground and then some aliens (that might've been god?) came down and attacked the forts. I cannot write a subtle rising action for the life of me. I'm probably just not a good enough writer for Parawatch stuff yet (or at least Parawatch stuff that I'd be proud of).
I really don't have any ideas, so this is just going to be freewriting until I can latch onto something interesting. Pretty bored right now. I really don't have the patience for slow articles. ADHD and all that. A lot of SCP articles bore me. Looking at SCP-4823 for example, the second paragraph of the description is where it loses me. The line "a noodle effect caused by a strong non-homogenous gravitational field" lost me, and in combination with that and a long paragraph right after makes me really disinterested. Forcing myself to read the rest of the article made me like it a lot more, but I wasn't interested until the second addendum. It was really good, but burying the lede like that makes me like it so much less. I should remember to make my articles interesting as early as possible. 4823 starts off with a fairly uninteresting anomaly, but it takes that anomaly to an interesting place. Gotta keep these things in mind.
You know what, I might just go through the featured list and give my thoughts on the articles here. Could be interesting. Next up would be SCP-5309. This one's a pataphysics one. I'm prepared for a mindfuck. Gotta love that reference to mythology in Sisyphus. Oh fuck wikidot's acting up on me. The whole review of this one is lost. The lessons were "never write about Pataphysics" and "never be afraid to write about something really dense and confusing, as long as you make it simple enough to understand in a rudimentary way and interesting in ways to a semi-casual reader".
