Special containment procedure- Object scp-5000 is to have a blind fold on at all time. It is not to be touched by any being human or otherwise. Any personnel who enter the room must also where blindfolds as to not look at scp-5000. If one or more of these procedures are broken the facility must be immediately locked down as and all personnel who gazed upon or touched it must be immediately terminated. If the blindfold is taken off of scp-5000 the door to the scp must be locked immediately. If the scp escapes before the door is locked a task force must be sent out for recontainment.
Description- scp-5000 is a lantern shaped entity that was discovered in Iceland by a group of hikers on [data expunged].They picked it up and brought it back to their shared apartment where they used it as decoration. After a few days of having it they started to notice weird effects. These were that the doors items and windows would appear and disappear at random. Some of the room mates were seen praying to the entity as well as saying and doing weird things. This went on for a while until [data expunged] when one room mate came home and found the rest of her room mates dead on the floor with the entity floating above them. It then proceeded to turn and to the roommate and cut her in half with a portal. At this point the foundation was alerted and immediately contained it. When the foundation contained it they noticed symbols on it in an unknown dialect. They also observed that the lantern was made of anti ,dark and red matter. Once in containment it proceeded to create random portals and teleport throughout the room. Sometimes anomaly’s entities come out of the portals. After a few minutes these entities and portals would disappear. They noticed that the area nearest the center was empty but they could not see through it. They decided to send a D class in the D class was order to stick his hand in the area nearest the center. He did so and when he pulled it out his hand was gone. However the D class did not report feeling any pain. Also, there was no blood there was only bone, flesh and anything else in his hand. The lantern then turned to the D class and made him disappear. The research personnel reported seeing no portal. The foundation promptly put a blind fold on it and it stopped teleporting and personnel stopped disappearing when they entered the room for testing.
