SCP idea: invisible humanoid
item #: scp-[placeholder]
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-[PLACEHOLDER]’s containment chamber is to have 4-inch reinforced concrete walls and standard blast doors that have been approved to be able to withstand up to 1,500 pounds of force. The chamber is also to have thermal imaging cameras watching the containment chamber at all times. No still-image cameras of any kind are to be allowed into the containment chamber. If the thermal imaging and security cameras are down due to scp-[placeholder]’s effect, immediately activate the air displacement sensors that are installed in and around the containment chamber. If the sensors in the containment chamber are triggered within 5 minutes of activation due to scp-[placeholder] moving within the chamber, continue with testing and observation. If the sensors outside of the chamber are triggered by movement of scp-[placeholder], initiate protocol [placeholder]. If no sensors are triggered five minutes after activation or the outer walls of the chamber show signs of escape, initiate protocol [placeholder].
Description: scp-[placeholder] is a humanoid, normally invisible to the human eye, save for a faint “shimmer” effect that it sometimes emanates, similar to the visible distortion caused by heat waves. It is also visible via thermal imaging and air displacement sensors. Scp-[placeholder] seems to be capable of emotion and is incredibly shy. However, it is friendly to those it deems worthy of trust. scp-[placeholder] will go into a distressed state where it will sit in a corner, seemingly sobbing, when those it does not deem worthy of trust attempt interaction with it. Other anomalous effects include: granting temporary invisibility to people it is friendly to at will, temporary deactivation of any video cameras of any kind, including thermal, in order to prevent its presence from being known, and incredible strength, despite being mostly docile. So far, there has only been one escape attempt. (see document [placeholder]-A) This escape attempt was caused by a fit of rage seemingly induced by the presence of a still-image camera in the chamber.
Document [placeholder]-A: D-[placeholder]-7 was instructed to attempt to take a picture of SCP-[PLACEHOLDER]. Upon SCP-[PLACEHOLDER]’s noticing of the camera, it became enraged and broke through the containment walls, at the time consisting of 2-inch concrete. After roughly 45 minutes of destruction, SCP-[PLACEHOLDER] became docile enough to be guided back to its containment chamber. SCP-[PLACEHOLDER] was extremely flighty for the following week.
