Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures:
•SCP-XXXX is contained in a 125x125x125ft room with concrete walls and an observation room low to the floor. Observation window is protected by reinforced glass. This is to protect against instances of SPC-XXXX-j
•Containment protocol 1: When entering SCP-XXXX-1, subject must remove SCP-XXXX-2 from lock, take it with them inside, and close the gate behind them. subject must never release their grip of SCP-XXXX-2 while in the garden under any circumstances.
•Containment protocol 2: SCP-XXXX-2 must be inserted into SCP-XXXX-1’s lock at all times (unless protocol 1 is initiated), and turned so that the gate is locked.
•Containment Protocol 3: SCP-XXXX-1 is to be kept under 24 hour surveillance, and all Euclid or Keter class anomalies are to be kept away from SCP-XXXX’s containment unit.
•Containment Protocol 4: Under no circumstances are any personnel allowed to look over the fence into SCP-XXXX-1.
•Containment Protocol 5: In the event of a tantrum, security personnel are required to defend against SCP-XXXX-j, recover SCP-XXXX-2, remove any personnel from inside SCP-XXXX-1, and initiate Protocol 2.
•Containment Protocol 6: In the event of a kidnapping of SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX is to be recovered immediately and returned to containment by any means necessary.
•Containment Protocol 7: under no circumstances are any female personnel allowed inside of SCP-XXXX-1
Description:
SCP-XXXX, nicknamed “Nature’s Child” appears to be a young girl aged 7-9. The entity is friendly toward staff on-site and open to conversation. Interviews reveal that the subject has extensive knowledge of plants, nature, and weather phenomena. Subject also appears to love talking about the plants within the garden (SCP-XXXX-1).
SCP-XXXX lives contained within SCP-XXXX-1 at site████ . SCP-XXXX appears to have no issue with being locked inside, and claims it feels safe when the gate is locked. The entity has requested that whomever enters the garden take the key with them inside, and hold onto it.
When the the key to the garden’s gate is removed, the gate is opened, and containment protocol 1 is not initiated within 15 seconds, SCP-XXXX will begin a tantrum, crying and stating that it doesn’t feel safe and that “weeds are going to get in”. (Questions about this choice of wording listed in interview section of SCP-XXXX information.) During a tantrum, instances of SCP-XXXX-j will appear, attacking any living thing inside, excluding CP-XXXX, or any plant life. This continues until containment protocol 1 is initiated.
Within 15 seconds of protocol 1 being initiated, the entity will halt its tantrum, and all instances of SCP-XXXX-j recede into the ground, ending their attacks on anything inside. SCP-XXXX has been asked about SCP-XXXX-j, and stated that “they were keeping the weeds out”. Further investigation required.
SCP-XXXX claims that plants in the garden talk to it. The entity is observed to regularly speak to its plants when watering them using SCP-XXXX-3, the watering can. When the subject speaks, the plant it is currently watering begins to glow, this glow appears to “pulsate” with the flow of SCP-XXXX’s speach. The reason behind this is unknown, although it is thought to be related to the entity’s anomalous ability to affect the surrounding environment while outside of containment.
- SCP-XXXX Instances 1,2,3,j
- SCP-XXXX-1
- SCP-XXXX-1 Information: SCP-XXXX-1, first discovered in █████ ████, appears to be a garden surrounded by a white wooden fence and a single 2x3m gate. The hight of the fence makes it difficult or any person to see over, and trying to do so results in instances of SCP-XXXX-j reaching over the fence and killing whomever saw inside. The fence itself is seemingly indestructible, as well as the gate. When entering the garden, it appears to be much larger than observed on the outside. On the outside, SCP-XXXX-1 is measured at 35x35ft, while the interior is measured at 350x350ft. When inside the garden, there seems to be an observable sky, even though the garden is within containment unit 15 at facility ██. The garden is filled with flowers and plants that are currently unknown to science. The gate to SCP-XXXX-1 is locked and unlocked using SCP-XXXX-2
- SCP-XXXX-2
- SCP-XXXX-2 information: SCP-XXXX-2 appears to be a golden key with a rose painted onto it. The key is seemingly ndestructible, and of unknown origin. Whenever SCP-XXXX-2 isn’t inserted into the lock of SCP-XXXX-1 and turned so the gate is locked, or protocol 1 isn’t in place, SCP-XXXX will begin a tantrum.
- SCP-XXXX-3
- SCP-XXXX-3 information: SCP-XXXX-3 “the watering can” appears to be a silver watering can. SCP-XXXX is observed using it to water plants in the garden. SCP-XXXX-3 has never been observed to run out of water. Further investigation into SCP-XXXX-3’s anomalous properties required.
- SCP-XXXX-j
- SCP-XXXX-j information: instances of SCP-XXXX-j appear to be large roots and vines, and are covered in thorns. SCP-XXXX-j is extremely hostile and will attack any living thing in the garden, excluding SCP-XXXX, and any plant life. Whenever the gate to SCP-XXXX-1 is locked, but the key is not inserted, SCP-XXXX can be heard throwing a tantrum inside, and instances of SCP-XXXX-j will reach over the fence, attacking anyone in the immediate area.
- SCP-XXXX-1
Addendum:
«ANOMALOUS EVENT: MOMMY»
In the past, SCP-XXXX referred to a female staff member, Dr. ███████ as “Mommy”. For unexplained reasons. During this time, Dr. ███████ had the same “plant whispering” ability as SCP-XXXX, and the same glowing effects were observed whenever Dr. ███████ spoke to the plants in the garden. (These effects were not apparent outside the garden.)Additionally, whenever Dr. ███████ was absent for more than 24 hours from the garden, SCP-XXXX would throw a tantrum without warning, even if containment protocol 1 was in effect. Because of this, Dr. ███████ was instructed to spend at least 3 hours in the garden each day.
While “Mommy” was in the garden, and the gate was left open, SCP-XXXX would not begin a tantrum. The entity would simply cry and beg for the gate to be closed.
After 3 weeks of calling her “Mommy”, SCP-XXXX asked Dr. ███████ if she wished to “stay here”, to which she replied “I’m sorry, I’ve got stuff to do, but I’ll be back”. This was the safest response Dr. ███████ could think of in the moment, as this behavior had never been observed. This went on for 4 more months, during which, Dr. ███████ was instructed to give the same response each time.
On the date ██/█/████, SCP-XXXX seemed to exhibit unusually nervous in behavior, sometimes even dropping SCP-XXXX-3. When “Mommy” arrived, the entity asked the question again. Upon receiving the same response, SCP-XXXX started to behave angrily, accusing Dr. ███████ of lying. Dr. ███████ was then instructed to say “yes” in order to avoid a tantrum. Immediately, the staff member slowly became a wooden statue, and remained in the observed petrified state permanently. research of anomalous petrification process to be conducted at a later date, as SCP-XXXX is unusually protective of the petrified staff member.Approximately 1 year prior to the incident, another female staff member, S█████ F██, was chosen as “Mommy”. Several months later, the same events transpired after the female staff member was forced to say “yes”. Female staff are no longer allowed within SCP-XXXX-1.
«EFFECTS OF SCP-XXXX-2»
Whenever SCP-XXXX-2 is inserted into the gate of SCP-XXXX-1, any Euclid or Keter class SCP that comes within 15 meters of SCP-XXXX-1 will immediately feel compelled to enter the garden and retrieve SCP-XXXX, then move the entity away from the facility.
SCP-XXXX has been observed screaming at its captor, begging to be returned to the garden. During this period that SCP-XXXX is away from SCP-XXXX-1, the area around SCP-XXXX-1 will experience drastic changes of an increasing level every 20 minutes. The observed effects are as follows:
20min: plants in the area begin to grow rapidly
40min: effects increase
60min: effects increase exponentially
80min: natural disasters begin to occur
100+min: natural disasters increase in scale every 20min.
These effects recede as soon as SCP-XXXX is returned to SCP-XXXX-1.
Due to these observed effects, only anomalies classified as “safe” are contained near SCP-XXXX, and all other anomalies are contained further away in the facility.
