Item # SCP - 5902
Object Class - Safe
Special Containment Procedures - The object in question has been walled off within meter-thick walls of concrete, the only door made of reinforced steel. All nearby settlements and roads have been relocated.
Description - SCP 5902 appears as a small ventilation shaft leading to a brick wall with nothing on the other side. Upon crawling through the shaft, the subject will be met with a right turn that most are barely able to squeeze by. After passing this right turn, the subject begins the growing process and, within an average of five minutes, is unable to pass back through this turn. Those who have come back in time have been found on the other side to have not grown. Once the subject emerges from the tunnel, they find themselves within a one-room apartment with "questionable" aesthetics. There is a kitchen, a bed, and a small room for the "resident" to relieve themselves. A singular staircase leads up to another identical room, and another above and so on. Another staircase leads down to more identical rooms. The growing process happens at an extremely slow pace, with many subjects spending as long as weeks living within the apartments. Inevitably, the subjects slowly find it harder and harder to navigate the small apartments. What has been labeled, "claustrophobia" has been observed and many subjects go mad around the one week mark. The subjects finally grow to be slowly crushed by the walls of the apartment. The subject's body than stops growing and the vent leads to a different floor. It is not known if the body clogs up a room because of the sheer amount of floors.
