SCP-████

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-████ is to be kept in a low-value Anomalous storage locker at Site-19. Testing of SCP-████ must be approved by Dr. Anton. During testing, the object is never to be hooked up to any object that can communicate with the Internet.

Any SCP-████-B instances created during testing are to be immediately terminated and incinerated unless needed for testing purposes.

Description: SCP-████ is a ████████ console and a ████████████ Virtual reality Headset. SCP-████ has a heavily modified operating system, and 3.5 petabytes of storage, well beyond the expected storage capacity of an ████████ of similar design. Approximately ██% Of SCP-████'s storage is dedicated to a single program, that is named and functions similar to the game Minecraft.

When a subject activates SCP-████ and puts on the headset, they will enter a catatonic state, while remaining in the position that they were in. Their mindset will be partially uploaded into SCP-████'s internal storage, which will be deleted upon the subject leaving SCP-████. they will then be transported into the game "Minecraft", dubbed SCP-████-A. Their vision will blur and usually become pixelated and may cause vision impairments upon exiting SCP-████-A. SCP-████-A will always start out the same, but will also be unique to whoever is using SCP-████. Subjects are not forced to remain within SCP-████-A; they can choose to leave the game at any time.

Objects in the possession of any subject entering SCP-████-A will not travel with them. If they sustain an injury within the game, they will exhibit an injury of similar degree if they exit SCP-████-A while injured. Performing any action within SCP-████-A that would cause injury to the subject in real life will not injure the subject, such as punching a block.

If a subject within SCP-████-A "dies", they will also die in real life. The cause of death will be consistent with how they died in-game. (See test log ████-A) If they are killed by an "entity", that entity will materialize within a 5-meter radius of the subject. The entity, hereafter SCP-████-B, will begin exhibiting behavior consistent with that of the entity within SCP-████-A. In the event an SCP-████-B instance manifests, it is to be terminated as quickly as possible.

Test log ████-A:

Testing Officiant: Dr. Anton

Subject: D-28472
Additional notes: Subject was not told of SCP-████'s properties.
Test: Subject was told to turn on the device and put on the headset.
Intended Time: 2 minutes
Result: Subject put the headset on, enters a state of catatonia for 10 seconds, and entered SCP-████-A. Subject then immediately yells several expletives and throws the headset onto the floor.
Note: While I have not personally used SCP-████, I am not surprised at this result.-Dr. Anton

Test: Subject was then told of the anomalous properties of SCP-████ and SCP-████-A. The previous test was then repeated.
Time: 2 minutes.
Result: Subject repeated previous test, kept the headset on for the full two minutes. Subject then reported that "It felt like the game was life" and "It almost looked like reality."

Test: Subject was told to continue to play the game for up to an hour, or until he injured himself.
Time: <60 minutes
Result: At T+16:37, Subject suffered a broken leg and collapsed onto the floor. Subject then left SCP-████-A and was sent to the infirmary.

Subject: D-5925
Test: Subject was told about the properties of SCP-████ and SCP-████-A. subject was then allowed to remain within SCP-████-A for "as long as he pleased"
Time: ~3 hours.
Result: At T+2:59:24, Subject suffered 3rd degree burns over his entire body and subsequently expired.
Note: Anything that happens to the subject in SCP-████-A will happen to them in real life. both of these tests concerned death by natural causes. What if an entity within the game causes their death?-Dr. Anton.

[EXTRANEOUS TESTS EXPUNGED]

Subject: D-27595
Test: Subject was told to play the game riskily, to increase the probability that the subject did not die of natural causes.
Time: 30 minutes
Result: at T+28:58, Subject expired of blunt force trauma to the upper torso. An instance of SCP-████-B manifested (a zombie) and attempted to kill Dr. Anton. Entity killed with no further casualties.

Subject: D-8546
Test: SUbject was told to attempt to complete the game as quickly as possible.
Time: <4 hours
Result: At T+3:46:18, [DATA EXPUNGED].
Note: I am assuming that D-8546 fell in some kind of out-of-bounds region and [DATA EXPUNGED]-Dr. Anton.

Subject: D-36026
Test: Subject was asked to choose a game to load onto SCP-████. Subject was then informed of SCP-████'s properties, and instructed to start SCP-████.
Time: N/A
Result: [DATA EXPUNGED]. Remains of subject were not found. Dr. Anton was given a Class-B amnestic by request, and refused to continue testing, citing "the most grueling experience I have ever had"
