Special Containment procedures: SCP- is to be kept in a high-value storage vault at site- . The container is to be guarded by no less than two armed personnel and a secure live stream to a third on-site guard. Guards must be replaced at 60-minute intervals and may not be put near SCP- __ for another 24 hours. Confirmation from a level-4 person is required to remove SCP- from the container. No unauthorized devices capable of reading USB media are permitted within 500 meters and guards are authorized to use lethal force to protect the device.
Item Description: SCP- is a small rectangular wooden USB-2.0 drive with a floral imprint on the top, the drive can be flipped open from the side. When connected to a PC or similar device, SCP- contains an offline version of the SCP database, the difference being the lack of censorship. All redactions, inaccessible, or censored data is uncensored. Attempting to delete the files in any way will emit an electric shock from the device that fries the motherboard of the computer used, all forms of internal surge protection on the computer will be disabled or bypassed.
Addendum-1: A cross testing between SCP- and SCP-079 was permitted and carried out by order of the 05 council. SCP- 's data was transferred onto SCP-079's hard drive, later resulted in a multiple Euclid and Keter containment breach, inflicting [REDACTED] casualties.
Addendum-2: MTF-Kappa 10 was tasked with discovering the cause and solution to SCP- 's anomalous properties. They have confirmed suspicions of the drive being sentient, no reason or conclusion to the anomaly has been discovered as of yet.
Addendum-3: After 05 approval, Researcher December with the Japanese branch was tasked with the long term research of SCP- , the containment procedures are modified to give Researcher December access to the drive when requested.
