Special Containment Procedures: Media containing SCP-XXXX is to be contained in site-76's Information Lockdown section. Access to SCP-XXXX is restricted to personal based on past experiences and personality types. Personnel with Authoritarian, Right Wing, Conservative, and reactionary beliefs are the most resistent to SCP-XXXX's effects. Personnel with past experience of discrimination, disillusionment with authority, and socioeconomic difficulty are highly vulnerable to SCP-XXXX's effect.Outside of testing, personnel who meet the above requirements are the only ones permitted on SCP-XXXX's containment team. These traits only mitigate SCP-XXXX's effects and do not provide immunity. Therefore containment staff are to undergo a specialized personality test each week. Should signs of SCP-XXXX's effects become apparent they are to be amnesticized and/or removed from containment team.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an infohazard that manifests itself within certain political media. Print and music is the most common vector(Though this is theorized to be due to age in comparison to other mediums) but video's, art, podcasts, and theoretically any medium one could use to express political theory has been an observed path for SCP-XXXX to spread. This media is always political in nature, and espouses overt support for Leftist ideological positions and or hostility to Capitalism, The State, Organized Religion, And political positions associated with the right and with traditional power structures. SCP's effect involves modification of a subjects personality and beliefs to be closer to the beliefs contained within the affected media. The speed of this process directly correlates with the affected subjects pre existing beliefs an experiences. As a general rule, those with Material and social Privilege and or extremely Reactionary Politics can take years or decades before infection begins to manifest. On the opposite side those with backgrounds of severe mistreatment, abuse, poverty, discrimination and progressive/Revolutionary Politics will display signs almost immediately(Often within one or two hours of exposure. Developing heightened interest in social and political matters, and increased distaste for political apathy, disdain for authority figures, and belief in the necessity of violence and militancy in politics. Due to the rapid onset of the infohazard in a large section of the population(Including Foundation staff) SCP-XXXX presents a serious risk to Foundation operations should staff gain access to infected media. Infected subjects have also shown a desire to spread the infected media to others, it is unknown whether this is an effect of the SCP or simply a logical desire to radicalize others based on the premises resulting from SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX may also have had a notable impact on world politics prior to containment. But given there is no known distinction between subjects infected with SCP-XXXX and subjects who gained these beliefs through non anomalous means this is as of yet undetermined.
