Apex Chaos Stargazer

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 3x3x3 meter room made of ceramic. The object is to be housed atop a ceramic pillar that stands at 0.76 meters tall (around waist height), and 22x22 cm in width. Said object is to be housed in a bulletproof glass vase, only accessible by Level 3 personnel or higher. Each variation of SCP-XXXX is to be contained in its own room so as to keep the objects from interacting with each other.

Description: SCP-XXXX is one of twelve transparent tetragonal-dipyramid gemstones (as of ██/██/2018, it is currently unknown whether or not more cases of SCP-XXXX exist), with each gem constantly releasing gamma radiation as well as sparks of electricity. Each gemstone has a distinct appearance in color and is assumed that each instance of SCP-XXXX does something unique, although only SCP-XXXX-12 and SCP-XXXX-10 have been observed granting abilities to specific individuals.

Experiments with SCP-XXXX-12 led to theories proposing that each gemstone has a form of sentience. As SCP-XXXX-12 granted it’s abilities to only specific persons. The criteria for being given these abilities as well as the extent of these abilities, are unknown.

Experiment Log-XXXX-1
Experiment Date: ██/██/2013, Experiment is to be monitored by CCTV and Infrared cameras, as well as motion detectors placed throughout the testing facility.
Testing Grounds: █████████, ███████
Subject: SCP-XXXX-10
Conductor: Dr. █████████ █████, with Dr. █████ █████ & Dr. █████ █████ assisting.

After careful chemical analysis, SCP-XXXX-10’s durability was to be tested with 15 M134-Mini-guns pointed directly at the gemstone. This was to test the durability of SCP-XXXX-10 for more information regarding it's makeup. This would allow for comparison to other metallic substances.

Results: The bullets would ricochet off the surface of SCP-XXXX-10 and begin to bounce off the surfaces of the room without losing any kinetic energy, leading to the bullets eventually hitting the firearms, immediately destroying the mini-guns within a 14.8 second time-frame. The gem itself took no damage after careful analysis, while the bullets were flattened on contact.

After frame-by-frame/molecular analysis, it was discovered that upon immediate contact with SCP-XXXX-10, the bullets would change material to the same material that SCP-XXXX-10 is made of. The bullets retained this transformation for a short period of time before turning back into their base state. This is presumed to be the cause of the bullets losing no kinetic energy upon bouncing off the surfaces of the room.

AUDIO LOG-XXXX-10 — Dr. █████████ █████__
This Audio File is to be heard by Level 3 Personnel Only.

Dr. █████████ █████: While we didn’t get any information as to what material SCP-XXXX-10 could be made of, we did notice something interesting. Of course, the fact that the bullets in our testing lost little to no kinetic energy upon being deflected several times was baffling. This lead to me, Dr. █████ █████, & Dr. █████ █████ to replay the recorded footage.

Our findings might mean that similar to SCP-XXXX-12, only specific persons and/or objects can inherit a certain set of abilities from the rest of SCP-XXXX, as I’m writing this down, we’re gathering multiple D Class to test this theory, as I'm fairly confident that we can come to more conclusions… maybe we can use these gems to help counter the most threatening anomalies with the powers these gems give us, IF we can figure out what powers they are. <Dr. █████████ █████ chuckles> I’ve grown to love this instant of SCP-XXXX. I was always fascinated by SCP-XXXX-10 as soon as it was brought into the facility. I, I can't help sometimes but hold it towards my chest. It's so beautiful.
