Quantum Rulebook

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 33.4 x 33.4 x 29.4 meter concrete room in Dimensional Object and Reliquary Containment Area-05. SCP-XXXX is to be set atop a hermetically-sealed titanium-reinforced concrete pillar in the center of the floor, with a diameter of 24 centimeters and a height of 13 meters, so that SCP-XXXX is suspended in the exact center of the room. This is achieved because SCP-XXXX projects a spacial-temporal field (hereafter called the "Zone") that, among other effects, lengthens all distances by 1.37 times, so the 10 meters of the pillar within the Zone becomes 13.7 meters, and the entire pillar length becomes 19.7 meters, half the vertical height of the room. 3 meters of space are allowed on all lateral sides of the field, and 1 meter above and below, so that research may be conducted outside the effects of the Zone. 10 meters of empty space should be maintained around SCP-XXXX's containment room at all times, to minimize damage in the effect of the Zone's expansion.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 267-page book with dimensions of 23 x 15 cm. The first 22 pages of the book contain writing in blue ink, of which only 7 are in known languages. These pages are referred to as SCP-XXXX-R1-22. Each of the 7 legible pages (SCP-XXXX-R1,5,8,9,13,18, and 21) contain what seem to be "rules" concerning physics, space, time, and other properties. SCP-XXXX projects a 13.7-meter spacial-temporal field, known as the Zone, which warps reality to obey the aforementioned rules. It is unknown how many rules actually exist, as SCP-XXXX-R1 states, in German, that "All previous Rules are now removed from the Rulebook, but are still in effect." By performing tests within the Zone, many of these rules have been inferred, and are recorded in the form SCP-XXXX-IX, where X is the order in which the rules were inferred.
