Containment procedure revision:
SCP 5077 is kept in a designated warehouse at site ██,on a 10 acreage land. The warehouse must contain religious relics, these including:
Staff are to be stationed at the main road entrance to the warehouse and the warehouse's activity is to be monitored, ensuring SCP 5077 does not escape or affect anything. If the radius in which SCP 5077's anomalous properties can affect sentient beings are to increase, a D class personnel is to immediately handle SCP 5077 and be immediately affected by it. This affected D class (designated SCP 5077-1) is to be escorted by two armed staff members of the SCP Foundation, to the small village, Tanahunsur, in Nepal. This particular D class must not be killed, and is allowed to only preach and work within this designated area.
Description: SCP 5077 is a plain Turquoise, leather hardcover book, with notable damage, containing sacred texts from the major world religions, mainly consisting of texts from the religions: Islam, Christianity and Buddhism. Not only does SCP 5077 contain these recorded scriptures from sacred texts such as the, Quaran and the Tripitaka, but it constantly expands, with new pages and scriptures appearing quite frequently, based off current world events which are considered significant in a religious and spiritual sense (See Amendment 1.1). SCP 5077's anomalous effects can manifest to other sacred texts through unknown means, when in a 44 metre radius to the sacred book, causing this typical sacred text book to obtain anomalous properties impermanently.
SCP 5077's main anomalous properties occur when a subject has read or used the book for a considerable time period, usually longer than an hour, or if the subject has had a history of morally incorrect behaviours. Upon using SCP 5077 for a considerable time or after holding the book, subjects have reported to experience a 'sensation' of feeling alive or more complete. Despite not reading the whole text, the subject will instantly gain wisdom and be capable of knowing everything from within the book, including the new scriptures, events, stories and homilies. Subjects will then follow every main ethic from the main world religions, these including:
- Performing Right Minded Meditation
- Constantly fasting, especially on certain spiritual events, such as Ramadan
- Giving up all of their possessions and helping the unfortunate.
- Constantly praying
- Having no materialistic possessions.
It seems that when a person is near an affected subject, they feel at ease and feel as if they have a greater purpose in life, causing them to change their state of mind, causing them to follow similar ethics to the affected subject. The strength of an affected subject's influence is dependent on an individual's self esteem and their outlooks on life. Generally, an individual who is on the verge of suicide is generally more susceptible to the influence of an affected subject
When SCP 5077 is removed from a subject, the subject will react in different ways, depending on two main factors: how far away SCP 5077 is from the subject, and in what manner the book was removed from the subject. In some cases where SCP 5077 has been removed from a subject, the subject simply asks for SCP 5077 to be returned to them. Although, in other cases, where SCP 5077 has been aggressively removed from the subject, the subject becomes extremely hostile. It seems in most cases, when SCP 5077 moves approximately 44 metres away from the affected subject, the subject gains some profound strength and aggressiveness, being capable of withstanding several bullets (approximently four 5.56×45mm NATO bullets) before being killed. When the affected subject is killed, the person who killed the subject is immediately incinerated and anyone within a 1km distance of SCP 5077 will experience the nine plagues of God, these being:
- Water turning to blood, including the blood within the bodies of those affected.
- Dart Frogs appearing from the sky from an unknown source.
- Lice appearing within everyone's hair. If a subject does not have any hair, lice will appear in other parts of the body.
- swarms of tsetse flies appear
- pestilence to any non-human sentient being
- boils on affected subject's skin
- Hail
- locusts will appear
- Subjects will become temporarily blind.
- If a subject has a firstborn child, they will pass away, with no evidence of how they died.
This all occurs over a seven hour period and if any unaffected person is within a 1km radius of an affected person, they will experience the nine plagues, lasting another seven hours. Each plague lasts approximately 50 minutes, and during this times affected subjects report to hear voices condemning them for their past actions.
The book itself cannot be damaged, and any attempts to destroy the book has only ended in fatalities (See test SCP 5077).

The source of all this conflict wasn't tracked down for several days, until a plain turquoise book was found within a burnt church, known as ████████. Locals reported that the church was torched only days before the incident. The creator of SCP 5077 is unknown and who torched this church is unknown as well. It was stated by some locals that the parish priest of ████████ was seen holding SCP 5077, days before
