Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept on a pedestal, centered in a 300m x 300m warehouse at site ██████. A circle with a radius of 100m is marked on the ground around SCP-XXXX. No personnel are to enter, except D class that have been authorized by level 4 or above staff, for experimental purposes. Authorized 3/XXXX personnel may also enter, following a game, for transport of SCP-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a small doll, roughly 30 cm in height, resembling a young girl. The object appears worn, with mild amounts of dirt and ash on its surface. The hair of the doll is slightly singed.
The object remains dormant when no persons are within its effective range (100m). While dormant, SCP-XXXX lies motionless. When a person(s) enters it's 100m radius, the doll takes a sitting position, and begins to communicate telepathically with said persons.
SPC-XXXX starts by expressing it's wish to play a game. During this time, affected individuals are no longer able to leave its vicinity, due to an invisible force preventing escape. Attempts to forcefully remove subjects, proved unsuccessful (see Addendum XXXX-2). XXXX then chosses a game for them to play. Games are usually the type expected of children (Tag, Hide and seek, Manhunt, ect…). Anyone affected feels compelled to play, with an increasing sense of urgency as time goes on. Upon completion, the winner(s) are turned into dolls resembling their original forms (designated as SCP-XXXX-1). SCP-XXXX-1 instances do not appear anomalous, and no way to reverse the tranformation is known. The loser(s) are turned to ash in a process that resembles paper burning. SCP-XXXX then goes dormant for a period of no less than 24 hours. During this time entering it's 100m radius does not cause it to activate, allowing for safe transport.
Addendum XXXX-1: SCP-XXXX was discovered in 19██, in ████ Ontario, Canada. Within a burnt down building, it was found in the grasp of the charred remains of a child (roughly 6-8 years). It was brought to the attention of the foundation after receiving reports of firefighters playing hide and go seek in a burning building, followed by their disappearance. Agents collected SCP-XXXX as well as 5 instances of SCP-XXXX-1.
Addendum XXXX-2: After four D class personnel were instructed to enter the radius of XXXX, a rope was tied to one. Upon the game starting the rope could no longer be moved in or out of the radius. The part of the rope that intersected with the radius remained frozen in place, as if it was caught in something. Further testing recommended.
