Special Containment Procedures:
All SCP-5136 must be kept under high surveillance by at least 2 armed guards at all times of day and secured in a locked off area of 50x50m barbed wire fencing, they must also have 24/7 access to fresh air and sunlight throughout the day. Guards must also wear sound cancelling headwear at all times to prevent from SCP-5136’s manipulative speech and ESP properties.

Description:
The species of origin of SCP-5136 is unknown at the time of April 21st 2020, but visually resembles a coniferophyta in the angiosperm family of trees. All specimens are quite short in height coming around at between 12-25 ft depending on age since beginning growth. They are covered in crusty dry mahogany coloured bark and long brown crackled branches that reach out from atop the tree. They also seem to display a large face on the front exterior and showcase wide stretching smiles and eyes that sink into their trunks, cases have reported of them having either jolly, happy, or sad expressions. Recent studies show this case is most likely to attract attention of curious on goers and who are most likely drawn in by its faces human appearance.

SCP-5136 is not one organism but many, all separately minded but with one common motive, to lure in unsuspecting humans and feast. Subject SCP-5136 has no mobility and must rely on its emotional manipulation, SCP-5136 has the ESP ability to read human minds and relay human speech of romantic loved ones or close relatives who have past away.

SCP-5136 will lure in the unsuspecting victim with a familiar voice of a loved one and relay sentences along the lines of “I miss you” or “I’m so proud of you” from its deep gaping empty mouth to catch the victim of guard with hearing its deepest desires. SCP-5136 will proceed to rap it’s long thick branches around the victims ankles and legs pulling them into its mouth down below into the abyss of SCP-5136.

SCP-5136 spreads by misbehaving children who pull bark off from it or scrape their name or words into the side with knives. SCP-5136 uses its ESP to infiltrate the child’s brain to command them that later on in that night the child will be forced to suddenly get the unending urge to rush outside and start filling its stomach up eating through the grass and continuously eating dirt until it’s stomach explodes then seeding a new birth for SCP-5136.

SCP-5136 after taking host of the child and sprouting, the tree will still continue to use the organs of The child. After fully maturing SCP-5136 will utilise and tweak the once alive child’s voice box to utter the words of human speech to the unsuspecting victims, as it cannot produce a human voice on its own.

Addendum:

*SCP-5136’s tree bark seems to resemble human scabs (from sores or wounds) even peeling like them, but can result in bleeding.

*Past their bark they seem to have a center that is more akin to human flesh then actual bark although a lot thicker and tougher inside

*They get their name “familiar tree” due to their ability to produce familiar voices to passerby’s. It is also sometimes known as “flesh tree”
