Elevator Pitch: When any individual has closed eyes for longer than 3 seconds within a range of about 1.5 meters of the object, they lose the ability to move in the physical world, but instead see visions of a labyrinth, which becomes clearer with time.
Central Narrative: While the object is harmless at first, the subject will experience auditory hallucinations accompanied by distorted visions of friends and family after being exposed for approximately 5 minutes. The visions will appear to hide from the individual at first but will become more aggressive with the passage of time. The visions are able to attack the individual, and while there will be no physical damage to the body, if the individual does not open their eyes, they are able to die, leaving their physical body braindead.
During testing, it becomes apparent that the labyrinth has the same layout and starting position each time, and signs of all previous testing can also be found, including the "bodies" of other testers. Eventually, the foundation finds signs of an exit even finding it on occasions, and while it unknown what lies beyond the gate, the testers will go braindead once entered.
