Item #: SCP-

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP- Is to be monitored by Foundation Personnel on a bi-weekly basis. During and following meteorological conditions with above-average precipitation or atmospheric heat, the level of SCP-XXXX-B should be assessed using depth sounding equipment at the position ████████ ████████. In the event of SCP-XXXX-B levels changing from a depth of ███ refer to addendum -01. Foundation personnel embedded in a nearby water sports facility should ensure that all unauthorised personnel entering site-███ are identified and removed by local law enforcement. MTF Gamma-6, "Deep Feeders", should be deployed site-███ during active periods to prevent individuals from the local populous entering the water. MTF Gamma-6 should be equipped to contain the entity during an SCP-XXXX-01 event.

During a containment breach, all water sources within an indefinite area should have containment teams deployed to them to prevent an SCP-XXXX-02 event.

Description: SCP-XXXX-A are of humanoid form and are suspended in SCP-XXXX-B (a water-based substance) by long metallic chains that appear to be made of iron or steel. The chains originate from the silt on the bed of the lake but do not have any visible anchor. Instead, the chain appears to grow out of the lake bed. Observations of the entity show that, during active periods, the entities appear to swim to the surface of the lake but are restrained by their anchor. The entities also appear to be in different states of decay. Some entities are perfectly preserved, whereas some are ragged in appearance.

The entity was discovered following a series of disappearances of young adults during a period between June and August ████. Disappearances were reported within the vicinity of lake ████████████ Newzealand.
