SCP-XXXX

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained in a standard object containment device at Site-76. SCP-XXXX should stay in its containment device until requested for experimentation; where it is to be placed in a room approximately 20 meters in height, and 10 meters in width. All researchers must be behind a glass window right above the projected images to avoid visual contact.

SCP-XXXX is not to be turned on within the presence of 3 or more subjects capable of seeing its projection. Additionally, the use of SCP-XXXX must be approved by the current lead researcher or site director.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an old 16MM VINTAGE MOVIE PROJECTOR CIRCA 1954 model. When turned off, it displays no active anomalous properties.

When turned on, SCP-XXXX will project a loop consisting of 3 stages:

-Stage 1: SCP-XXXX projects static for ~5 minutes. During this time, any individual within eyesight of its projection will show a sudden interest in it.¹

-Stage 2: Immediately after the first stage, the projection will start to show symbols with extreme similarities to the Wicca symbology, although slightly distorted. Each symbol lasts ~0.3 seconds. Additionally, SCP-XXXX-1 will begin to scratch its own body, with increasing strength and ferocity overtime, causing lacerations on its epidermis and dermis, resulting in profuse bleeding.

-Stage 3: After ~1 hour past the second stage, the projection will briefly shut off for ~1 minute. During this time, all instances of SCP-XXXX-1 will begin to show serious signs of emotional distress. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 will behave in a very aggressive and altered manner, showing hostility to any non-affected human individuals around them.²

SCP-XXXX was recovered in ██/██/20██, at the abandoned "Silver Screens" Movie Theater, ███ ███████, California, USA by MTF Prima Acies - "Front Liners", after the reports of 12 missing persons last seen or known as entering the abandoned building, later found to have been affected by SCP-XXXX anomalous properties³.

Addendum A-01:
A subject under the influence of SCP-XXXX will only lose interest and divert its sight once the projector is turned off or it has fully completed the projection loop, in which it will seek to attack any non-affected human being nearby.

The screen shows a dark street at night, MTF Prima Acies and a police officer are standing in front of a building. Silver Screens Movie Theater can be read from the title board. In the top left corner of the screen is a name; "Sanderson"

Marshall: So, what do we got here

Officer(Undercover foundation agent): Not much, 12 missing persons seen entering the building, 2 of them were cops… And people have been reporting screaming from inside the damn building… I thought the foundation would want to take a look

Marshall: Ok boys, that's it, let's get moving

Sanderson: Aye-aye Captain

Denvers: Roger that

Kruster: Affirmative

Allen: Affirmative

MTF Enters the building, it's hard to see well, but the flashlight helps, the place is a mess, as if it was left in a hurry, truly abandoned

Denvers: That place's looking terrible

Kruster: 40 years without maintenance and you were expecting a shining red carpet

Denvers: That's not what I said

Allen: Yeah, Ya said the obvious

Marshall: Let's get moving. Denvers, Allen, You check the second floor

Denvers: Roger that

Allen: Sir

Both move up-stairs

Marshall: Sanderson, Kruster, with me, let's finish this floor and follow up with them

The team moves through the dim entrance hall, following to the first theater section

Collective Voices: *From far away* AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

Kruster: Tha fuck was that shite!?!

Sanderson: Looked like screams… a lot of them

Marshall: *Through radio* Denvers, do you copy?

Denvers: Loud and clear, sir

Marshall: Did you heard that just now?

Denvers: Yes sir… seemed close. Me and Allen will proceed to check, is that alright

Marshall: Do so, but if you encounter imminent danger, hide and wait for us

Denvers: Aye aye, sir

The team reaches the entrance to the first movie room

Marshall: Kruster, go to the projector room.

Kruster: On mah way

Marshall: Sanderson, let's see the movie room

Sanderson: Affirmative

Marshall opens the door slowly allowing Sanderson to take a peek inside. Sanderson sees nothing and proceeds to enter the room followed by Marshall. Both descend through the middle stairs

Sanderson: Clear

Marshall: Ok, Kruster?! Are you there?

Kruster Pokes out of the tiny window for the projector

Kruster: 'Ere! The room's empty.

Marshall: Ok, let's get moving them

Denvers: *Through radio* Sir! There's a lit room up here, it seems like… … …

Marshall: Denvers? Denvers, do you copy, it seems like what?

Denvers: *Through radio* Sorry… it… it seems like a movie? there's some strange as fuck symbols there…

Marshall: Denvers, stop fucking looking, you moron!

Denvers: *Radio silence*

Marshall: God-Fucking-dammit, Let's get up there NOW!

Both Marshall and Sanderson rush out of the room, encountering Kruster who follows them along

Experiment-XXXX-01
Date	07/23/20██
Protocol	D-9144 and D-9923 were instructed to observe SCP-XXXX's projection, describing it to the research team.
Results	After this period, both D-Classes started screaming. Agents Karlson and Jinns entered the testing chamber and were immediately attacked by the D-Class. Both agents terminated the D-Class shortly after, turning of SCP-XXXX's projection loop.

Experiment-XXXX-02
Date	07/24/20██
Protocol	D-6678 and D-1309 were instructed to observe the projection and describe it to the research team. During this time, D-1215 was instructed not to look at the projection, with the purpose of keeping both D-6678 and D-1309 focused.
Results	After ~2 minutes, D-1215 disregarded commands from the research staff, looking at the projection. Despite the team's attempts to instruct D-1215 to avoid sight of the projection, D-1215 did not comply. The remainder of the test followed similar results to the previous experiment.
Notes	It did not work, as expected, but I have an idea. -Lead Researcher Marcus P█████

Date	07/25/20██
Protocol	D-6555 was sent into the testing chamber blindfolded together with D-8398, who is blind.
Results	D-8398 was affected like usual by the effects of SCP-XXXX, however, D-6555 was not affected throughout the test. After the usual period of 1 hour, the projection was shut down and D-8398 raged, immediately attacking D-6555. Agents Karlson and Jinns entered the testing chamber, terminating D-8398. D-6555 was uninjured but showed signs of distress, causing an argument with Foundation personnel. Agents Karlson and Jinns were distracted by D-6555 and were unable to turn SCP-XXXX off before its loop restarted. Both agents Karlson and Jinns and D-6555 turned their attention to SCP-XXXX projection. As a result of Agent Lanchest; Agents Karlson and Jinns, and D-6555 were rescued. Lanchest used their hat to cover SCP-XXXX, and subsequentially turned it off.
Notes	There are two things we discovered today, two good ones, in fact, 1st, the "Attention-Grabber" effect is not instantaneous, 2nd, It SEEMS like if we turn the projector off before its loop is complete, the individuals being affected are "rescued". -Lead Researcher Marcus P█████ Disciplinary actions were taken onto agents Karlson and Jinns for diversion of priorities. -Lead Researcher Marcus P█████

Date	07/26/20██
Protocol	D-6555, D-2189, D-5020, and D-8894 were sent into the testing chamber, they were instructed to engage each others attention and avoid the projection, at all, if possible.
Results	As expected, none of the D-classes were able to avert their attention from the projection. The loop followed as usual and all D-classes were affected by SCP-XXXX. During stage 3, multiple instances of SCP-XXXX-1 had breached containment(see event-XXXX-01)⁴. In site response team was able to re-contain SCP-XXXX and terminate all SCP-XXXX-1 instances after ~1 hour.
