Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-4347 is to be kept in a 15x15 water resistant containment cell with a drainage system at all times. This cell can only be opened and closed from the outside. All untrained personnel handling SCP-4347 must undergo moderate knife defense training, as well as a psychological evaluation before handling and researching SCP-4347.
Description:
SCP-4347 appears to be an ancient knife and altar of Egyptian make seemingly used in the embalming processes of the time. SCP-4347-A is a 8 inch knife of incredible sharpness, it seems to have a hieroglyphic inscription that outlines its purpose as a embalming tool. SCP-4347-B is a carved altar with similar inscription to SCP-4347-A. If these items are separated SCP-4347-A inexplicably vanishes and appears resting on SCP-4347-B unless SCP-4347-A is being carried by SCP-4347-1.SCP-4347’s anomalous properties manifest when a subject is within five feet of SCP-4347. When a subject comes within five feet of SCP-4347-A they have the inexplicable urge to pick it up, if the subject acts on this impulse and picks up SCP-4347 they become an instance of SCP-4347-1. SCP-4347-1 refers to any sapient entity holding SCP-4347. When holding SCP-4347-A, SCP-4347-1 will feel an uncontrollable need to find and bring another sapient entity to SCP-4347-B by any means. Disarming SCP-4347-1 has proven to be ineffective unless the subject is treated with amnesthetics, or else they will seek to retrieve SCP-4347-A. Should SCP-4347-1 be successful in its endeavor it will begin to perform an embalming ritual using SCP-4347-A with the victim laying on SCP-4347-B This ritual is composed of removal of the victims organs via surgical removal. When removing the organs of the victim both SCP-4347-1 and the victims eyes will begin to discharge vast amounts of water from the body. This eventually results in the dehydration death of both entities, but SCP-4347 will continue to remove organs past dehydration levels that are humanly possible to survive. Once the procedure is finished SCP-4347, now fully dehydrated, will fold the victim, also dehydrated, in a burial pose before placing down SCP-4347-A and laying in a burial pose before expiring.
SCP-4347 was found by MTF investigating the sudden disappearance of multiple archeologists in an ██████ dig site, Egypt and was later discovered and put into foundation custody.
